Via Journal Sentinel: Former NBA star Latrell Spreewell, currently 42 years of age was recently arrested on Monday for disorderly conduct regarding complaints about loud music. For those of you that no longer remember Spreewell, his NBA career lasted for over 13 years with three NBA teams including Golden State, New York Knicks, and Timberwolves before he turned out a three year $21 million dollar contract in 2005 because it wasn’t enough to feed his children. Milwaukee native and former NBA star Latrell Sprewell was arrested for disorderly conduct Monday afternoon after police received repeated complaints about loud music coming from a house on E. Pleasant St. on Milwaukee’s east side, according to jail records reviewed by the Journal Sentinel Tuesday. Police would not release details of the incident other than to report that police had received two complaints within one hour Monday afternoon and had received several complaints of loud music from the residence in recent months.

Amare Stoudemire is back, but the Knicks probably aren’t too thrilled about that fact. Despite getting one of the league’s top offensive players back from injury, New York was doing just fine without Stoudemire. Led by Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and J.R. Smith in the forward’s absence, the Knicks got off to a hot start and had Madison Square Garden buzzing on a nightly...

As steady as a squad can be, no one can be perfect. That's why it wasn't worth getting up in arms about the Knicks' feeble effort in the first half of Friday night's game against the Kings. New York made sure such a fluke didn't last the entire game, as the Knickerbockers charged back with all...

POTD 1/1/13: Amare Stoudemire on Victor Claver

As I pointed out in today’s Starting Lineup post, Amare Stoudemire’s return to the floor could’ve gone better.  That said, it could’ve gone worse, too.  While it would’ve been completely unreasonable to expect a player to sit out 30 consecutive games and come back to dominate, it wouldn’t have been unreasonable to presume STAT would need more than a game or two to regain...

Amare Stoudemire: “I’ve Never Been Taught Defense In My Whole Career”

Via RealGM.com via New York Daily News: The Atlanta Hawks ran Mike Woodson out-of-town after they were swept by the Orlando Magic in the 2010 Playoffs, but Woodson has been in New York since taking over for Mike D’Antoni late last season. You can certainly count Stoudemire amongst Woodson’s supporters, as he is reportedly the first coach to teach Stoudemire defense. “I think...

Spurs-Knicks Preview

The New York Knicks have sputtered recently, losing three of their last four with defense largely to blame. Though Amare Stoudemire's return is grabbing attention, New York may have to look elsewhere to shore up that end of the court on Thursday night as it hosts the red-hot San Antonio Spurs, one of the league's best offensive teams. The Knicks (21-10) still own an impressive...
