Just when Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love was griping about the direction of the team and its roster, comes this news. According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, AK-47 will sign a two-year, $20 million contract with the Timberwolves after reports surfaced the Nets were in pursuit of Kirilenko.

Kirilenko (31-years old) began his NBA career with the Jazz but has spent the last few years playing for his home country CSKA Moscow.

For his NBA career, AK averaged 12.4 points, 2 blocks, 1.4 steals, 2.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds, shot 47% from the field in 30.8 minutes. For CSKA, he averaged 14.1 points, 1.9 blocks, 1.5 steals, 2.4 assists, 7.5 rebounds, shot 53% from the field in 29.9 minutes last season.

The 6'9" versatile forward will definitely help Minnesota's frontline as he is able to play both forward spots and add considerable help for Love in the paint. He will bring a defensive presence considering he was named to the NBA All Defensive Team in 2006, and was the NBA blocks leader in 2005.

With Love, Ricky Rubio, Derrick Williams, Greg Stiemsma, Chase Budinger, and Nikola Pekovic, Minnesota has a bright future but work still needs to be done.
