Are the Spurs looking to pair Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the court at the same time next season?
If a report by Buck Harvey of The San Antonio Express-News has any legs to it, they just might.
Harvey reports that a source in the Spurs organization told him this weekend that the team will look at all options this summer, including unrestricted free agent Kevin Garnett.
While it's a long shot to happen (Duncan himself is an unrestricted free agent and must be re-signed by San Antonio), it would make for a very interesting pairing on the court.
Garnett and Duncan are similar in size and age as well as play the same position. But personality wise, the two couldn't be bigger polar opposites.
As Harvey puts it, people in San Antonio refer to Garnett as "Duncan's evil twin."
But adding a player of championship caliber such as Garnett to the Spurs roster would do one thing for sure...make them again contenders in the Western Conference.
