Maybe the Portland Trail Blazers were still upset about being robbed of a win Monday night against Oklahoma City, but the way they responded last night in NBA action wasn’t acceptable.

Portland trailed by as many as 19 points in the second half before rallying to tie it against Houston last night. In the end, the Rockets made another run and pulled away to win 103-96.
Here then is my Love’ Em & Hate’ Em for the Rockets matchup on Wednesday night.
Love’ Em
1. Gerald WallaceGerald Wallace scored 20 points while going 8 for 11 from the floor last night. He also had nine rebounds and five assists. Wallace is the type of guy that is capable of filling up a stat sheet, and it was nice to see a big game out of him.
2. Converting from the LinePortland knocked down 19 of their 22 free throw attempts last night. Wesley Matthews was a perfect 8 for 8 from the line. This kind of free throw shooting will win the team several close games this year if they can keep it up.
1. Outrebounded AgainThe Blazers are making a habit out of getting beat on the boards, and it is a big concern. Houston grabbed 39 rebounds compared to 29 rebounds for Portland. LaMarcus Aldridge only grabbed five boards in this one, which definitely isn’t enough.

2. Raymond FeltonRaymond Felton is coming off an injury so we’ll cut him some slack, but he didn’t play well at all last night. He was 4 for 11 from the floor and one for three from the free throw line. He also had five turnovers that proved costly.
If he isn’t completely healthy, the Blazers need to let him sit out until he is ready to go.
3. Where’s the Defense?Houston shot 53% from the floor, and they cashed in on ten three-pointers. Portland’s strength over the last few years has been their team defense, but it wasn’t there last night.
The Blazers are just 3-9 on the road this year, but they need to pick up a win over the lowly New Orleans Hornets this Friday.
