The Celtics beat the Raptors 64-100 yesterday at home without Rajon Rondo and back-up Keyon Dooling. This was the Celtics best margin of victory since 2009. This moves the celtics to 11-10, finally getting over .500. None of this sounds that impressive, considering the celts were playing a improved, but by no means, decent Raptors team. What I was impressed with was the improvement by guard Avery Bradley.
The Celtics are 7-2 since Rondo came down with an injury January 18th, against the Raptors. In this 7-2 stretch Paul Pierce has stepped up and become the player we all know and love, aka “the truth”. He has put up Lebronesque type numbers, averaging close to a triple double. KG has stepped up during this stretch as well with his low post presence and rebounding. Pietrus has shown glimpses of a James Posey, version 2008, type roll on the team. But once again, who am I really impressed with? The young man of our team, Avery Bradley.
I will admit it, I have not be...

It's looking like Rondo is in tonight
I touched on this in the preview, but it's looking more like Rajon Rondo will be back tonight.
While there's still no official word yet, all indications are that Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo will return to the Celtics' lineup tonight against the New York Knicks.Rondo, who has missed the last eight games with a right wrist injury, was an active participant...
Despite Rajon Rondo's black eye, Celtics get best of Knicks
Expecting anything but drama in this game would have been foolish as the Boston Celtics outlast the Knicks 91-89. This game was a nail-biter as the officials seemed to control the outcome all around. First Paul Pierce made a huge three pointer as the shot clock went off that ended up not counting, then Landry Fields air balled the go ahead three, next Pierce made one of two free...
Are the Celtics Better Without Rajon Rondo?
For a while there, it seemed like the Celtics didn't miss Rajon Rondo at all. With the Celtics point guard sidelines with a sore right wrist, the Celtics won four straight games and edged their record back to .500. They enter Wednesday's game against the Raptors with a 5-2 mark in Rondo's absence. Results aside, it is hard to argue that the Celtics are better off without...

From the GreenLab: The Badger Cut
When Rajon Rondo went down hard on a drive to the basket and injured his wrist against the Toronto Raptors a couple of weeks ago, the Celtics were on their way to ending a five game losing streak. At first, it didn't seem so bad, but the thoughts crept in: "If the C's struggled so much with him so far this season, what happens if he's out for an extended length...
Rajon Rondo ‘would probably be playing’ if it were playoffs, says Danny Ainge
Even if Danny Ainge said I am a Celtics blogger, I would not trust him. If he told me I am a 24-year old male (which I am), I would not trust him. And if he described a Boston Celtics injury, I would take his words, delete them from my memory, chuckle that he expected anyone might believe them, and shake my head while remembering Shaq, who was said to return “next week”...
Rajon Rondo Can't Return Quickly Enough for Celtics, Who Are Starting to Feel Point Guard's Absence
Tune out all the noise. Stop wondering about about whether Chris Kaman will give the Celtics some depth in the post or whether Paul Pierce should ever leave the court in crunch time. There's one major issue for the Celtics, and it's the obvious one. The more games Rajon Rondo spends on the sideline in his dapper suits with an injured right wrist, the harder it will gradually...

Despite a strong first quarter from Kevin Garnett (11 pts, 4 reb) the Celtics trailed after one, 28-27.
