ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Rookie Andrew Nicholson scored 18 points and Glen Davis added 17 to help the Orlando Magic beat the San Antonio Spurs 104-100 Sunday night in preseason action.
It was the second straight win for the Magic, who have two exhibition games remaining. The Spurs lost consecutive games for the first time this preseason and host Washington Friday in their final regular-season tune-up.
Danny Green led San Antonio with 13 points and Manu Ginobili finished with 12 points. Tim Duncan played just 12 minutes, scoring nine points.
After playing sparingly in the Spurs' first four preseason games, Ginobili and Tony Parker played extended minutes for the second straight game.
Magic guard Arron Afflalo sat out again Sunday resting a sore left hamstring, but could make his preseason debut Wednesday against Memphis.

Orlando Magic still learning in preseason
Pick and rolls, hand offs, down screens, basket cuts. This is certainly a different Orlando Magic team from the in-and-out, spot-up basketball played under Stan Van Gundy.

The NBA Probably Prevented ESPN From Hiring Stan Van Gundy
The NBA league office more than likely rejected ESPN’s bid to hire former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy. ESPN considered hiring Van Gundy for the “NBA Countdown” studio show, but elected to go in a different direction. Earlier this month, The Big Lead reported that NBA Commissioner David Stern “allegedly stepped in and prevented ESPN from hiring Van Gundy, who he has...

Magic beginning to pull it together
There was a ton of frustration in the first four preseason games. The Magic looked good, perhaps better than expected. But they were not putting it together and bringing in results. Not in the win-loss column, for what that is worth in the preseason. That little bit may not matter, but the Orlando as a franchise is not trying to forsake wins or a winning mentality.
That matters...
So, Kendrick Lamar Raps A Whole Verse About Arron Afflalo
Arron Afflalo may have went from an annual playoff team — Denver Nuggets — to a team that will be in mediocrity for a few seasons — Orlando Magic — this off-season thanks to Orlando sending Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of a four-team trade, but as a consultation prize Kendrick [...]The post So, Kendrick Lamar Raps A Whole Verse About Arron Afflalo appeared...
This weekend in jerseys: Dwight Coward, the Franchise, and the Ship
This past weekend I was in Orlando for one of my girlfriends friends wedding. Lebron must not have been the only one to take his talents to Florida because there were enough honeys there for Wilt Chamberlain to get his, have seconds, and everyone else get a taste too (note: I do not partake in these sort of shenanigans since I have a wonderful and loving girlfriend but instead relay...

Preseason Rundown: Magic outscore Spurs in Orlando
After falling closely to the Miami Heat on Saturday, the San Antonio Spurs(3-3) paid a visit to Orlando where they were hosted by the Magic (3-4). Unlike the close game against Miami, Sunday was a game in which the Spurs were in it for one quarter, and they just couldn’t make a strong push against the Magic as they fell 104-101 on Sunday.
Danny Green was the leading...
