MINNEAPOLIS The foul called on Ricky Rubio with 16.4 seconds left in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 105-102 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers may have an impact on more than just Friday's outcome. Rubio, who collided with Kobe Bryant on the play, stayed on the ground for more than a minute before teammates helped him off the floor and to the Wolves' bench. Rubio, a blossoming rookie point guard, was putting no weight on his left leg and winced in pain as trainers attended to him during the game's closing seconds. After the game, Rubio was moving slowly and with a severe limp, putting only minimal pressure on his left leg. He didn't speak to the media, and team staff would only say Rubio suffered a left knee injury and would be re-evaluated on Saturday before Minnesota plays host to the New Orleans Hornets. "I don't even know what he did," coach Rick Adelman said. Just before midnight, Kevin Love tweeted: "Praying for my teammate @rickyrubio9. Hope all goes well tomorrow with the MRI." Rubio finished with 15 points and 10 assists for his first double-double since February 4 and his 12th of the season.
