Players are still unable to sign with NBA teams at the moment, but discussions between players, their agents and teams across the leagues are heating up ahead of free agency beginning on Friday. The Suns are one of those such teams currently talking with a variety of free agents in order to fill out the roster before the regular season starts in a couple of weeks.
Many believe that one of the biggest holes on the Suns roster heading into the season is a backup at point guard behind Steve Nash. Last year’s backup at the position, Aaron Brooks, signed a contract with a team in China before the lockout came to an end. Brooks can’t get out of the contract and will be forced to play for the Chinese team for the next couple of months.
Paul Coro, the Suns beat writer for the Suns at the Arizona Republic, is one of the first to report on Twitter that Sebastian Telfair, a former first round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2004 draft, will sign with Suns once free agency...
