Nothing is official yet but it appears that San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Jacque Vaughn will be the next head coach of the Orlando Magic. The Magic are still narrowing down their options but Vaughn appears to be the frontrunner.
There’s nothing that should indicate that Vaughn would be a bad head coach, but there’s one guy who’s not happy with the Magic’s decision. Former Magic center and current NBA big mouth analyst Shaquille O’Neal expressed his disapproval on Twitter.
“Orlando magic is about to hire jock Vaugh over mike Malone or Brian shaw are u kidding me, wow, good luck winning wit Dat team Dwite howard”
Shaq’s writing style really captures his voice, doesn’t it?
Spelling and grammatical errors aside, his disapproval is kind of a mystery to me. I’m wondering if there’s some bad blood between these two. They have played against each other a few times in their careers, but other than some healthy competition, I don’t know of any ongoing feud.

There were rumors a few months back that Shaquille O’Neal wanted to become a general manager, and had his eye on the job with the Orlando Magic. Dwight Howard has rumored in so many deals that I lost count of them. These have been going on since last season’s NBA trade deadline. So as right now Howard is still a member of the Orlando Magic and according to a new report is might stay that way.
Chris Broussard from ESPN was told the Magic may not trade Howard after all.

Maybe a new coach, a new system and a new approach will change everything between the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard. According to an ESPN report, the on-again, off-again trade talks between Magic general manager Rob Hennigan and multiple suitors are off -- for now -- and the franchise could sit tight with the five-time All-NBA center until the trade deadline in February. Hennigan...
Orlando has told other executives that they will only trade Dwight Howard in a deal that is great for the franchise.
In Houston, there is running water, electricity and even wireless Internet. In Cleveland, there are television sets with remote controls, so Cavs fans can change the channel whenever LeBron James and the Miami Heat are playing on ESPN. In Orlando, there are two Apple Store locations where Magic fans can wonder what sort of witchcraft is at play in the new iPad. If all this seems...
If you’re like me, you’re absolutely tired of the drama and the all around piss poor PR mess created by both the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard over the past 9 or 10 months. If you’re unfamiliar with this mess that I speak of, allow me to give you a rundown:Dwight Howard told the Orlando Magic that they either needed to surround him with players he had a part in selecting...

By this time in July, NBA fans have typically already seen the biggest moves go down. The NBA's schedule makers are busy piecing together each team's 82-game schedule and talking with the TV networks about the games they want. That whole process and the next stage of the NBA's summer (perhaps the first stage, the one thing that should have been done back in December if...
Interestingly enough, there are so many teams that covet the services of Dwight Howard since he is a rarity in the NBA right now. When you take a long, hard look around the league right now, there are only two legitimate big men in the league. Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum are the cream of [...]The post Put Out An APB: 5 Reasons The NBA Big Man Has Gone Missing appeared first on...
