Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili haven't had much playing time together this season, but when the San Antonio Spurs' mainstays all have been on the court, coach Gregg Popovich has been pleased with what he's seen. The Spurs will go for a sixth straight win Wednesday night when they visit the Sacramento Kings, who stunned them in San Antonio earlier this season. San Antonio is coming off a 107-100 win at Phoenix on Tuesday, the first time in four games that Duncan, Parker and Ginobili played the same night. With Ginobili playing in just his 19th game, the Spurs (34-14) improved to 12-4 when all three play. "I think they play within the system and trust each other enough it comes out pretty good for them," Popovich said, "most of the time." Popovich sat the 35-year-old Duncan in Sunday's win over Philadelphia and the rest appeared to pay off Tuesday, when he scored 26 points - 17 in the first half - and had 11 rebounds. It was his secon...

Box score listing for Tim Duncan: 'DNP - Old'

That’s messed up. Doesn’t a four-time NBA champions and three-time Finals MVP get any respect around here? As you can see from the box score above that Hardwood Paroxysm shared with us, Tim Duncan did not dress for the Spurs game against the Sixers on Sunday. With an aging roster that is looking to make another Finals run, Gregg Popovich has to be careful about keeping...

Tony Parker pitches Bond persona for ad

We have seen San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker pitch many things. From Tissot watches, French fast food, and more, TP isn't shy about lending himself for various advertisements. Now, Parker has partnered with SWBC and recently shot a commercial where he is pitching ideas for a future SWBC commercial. In Tony's mind he sees himself as a James Bond-like character working...

Diaw happy in San Antonio, even on Parker's couch

Newly-acquired San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw was a guest on Tony Parker's radio show yesterday and talked about everything from going to one of the worst teams in the league to playing for a championship contender (via RMC Sport). It's going great. I'm happy to be in San Antonio. It is nice and it was a great team.We had to find a deal with Charlotte. From there...

Parker's teardrop shot gets no love

If you’re a point guard that’s good enough to get into the paint at will, you have to master the floater. No matter how good you are at cutting and driving, if you throw up a normal layup, one of those 7-footers waiting in the lane will send your shot into the stands. The floater has become just another tool in the arsenal of today’s best point guards. NBA.com put together...

Video: Ginobili shows no brotherly love to 76ers with dunk

The San Antonio Spurs demolished the Philadelphia 76ers last night 93-76 which included this spectacular highlight of Manu Ginobili demolishing the 76ers, Spencer Hawes, as well as the rim. However, I got to ask, when will teams learn not to let Ginobili go left? But I digress. Check out Manu leaving Hawes in his wake and taking it to the rim for an emphatic dunk. ...

Boras Diaw has been sleeping on Tony Parker’s couch since signing with Spurs

Life as an NBA player requires adjusting on the fly — not only on the court, but off of it as well. One minute you could be playing in Charlotte and the next thing you know you’re halfway across the country in San Antonio. Just ask Boris Diaw, who was released by the Bobcats and signed by the Spurs last Friday. Having played four games in five days since joining the team, Diaw...

Sacramento Bee: As the Spurs beat the Kings by five, DeMarcus Cousins struggled.  He scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but he needed 24 shots to get there and committed 5 turnovers along the way.  Tim Duncan, on the other hand, posted 18 points on 8-11, and spent about 20 minutes of the game resting on the bench.  Overwhelmed by the ease with which Duncan operates, Cousins...
