Star Player Suffers Injury in Nuggets vs. Bucks
USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets were absolutely decimated by the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday Night. What was even worse than the loss though, was the fact that Jamal Murray suffered an injury and didn't return in the second half.

It was revealed that Jamal Murray was dealing with bilateral tibia inflammation at halftime, and that was the injury that prevented him from returning in the second half.

When Nuggets head coach Michael Malone was asked about Murray's injury, he revealed that Murray actually mentioned that he wasn't feeling well in the first half. Murray wanted to finish the half and see how he felt but ultimately decided not to play.

"Yes, we want to win games, but Jamal and KCP are integral to our success," Murray said. "So, we're trying to have a big picture with that."

Hopefully, Jamal Murray's injury is more of a precautionary one as opposed to one that's going to leave him out for a prolonged period of time. The Denver Nuggets were down 16 points to the Milwaukee Bucks at halftime, so it wasn't like the game was out of reach in any capacity. With that in mind, one would have to mind that Jamal Murray's injury is one that's actually keeping him from playing basketball and isn't purely a precaution.

The Denver Nuggets have only one day off before facing their next opponent, the Sacramento Kings, on Wednesday.
