PHOENIX (AP) -- Shannon Brown scored 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and helped key a late 14-4 run as the Phoenix Suns rallied from a 26-point deficit to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-105 Friday night. P.J. Tucker hit a 20-foot jumper from the left corner to give the Suns a 103-102 lead with 1:32 to go. After the teams traded misses, Marcin Gortat blocked Daniel Gibson's shot and Goran Dragic found Brown streaking down the right side for a fast-break dunk and a 105-102 lead with 37.4 seconds remaining. Kyrie Irving had a chance to win it for Cleveland as time expired but his 3-pointer from the top of the key bounced off the back of the rim. Dragic scored 26 points for the Suns, who posted the third-biggest comeback in franchise history. Sebastian Telfair added 13 and Gortat had 12.

Suns 107, Cavaliers 105

Trailing by 26 points after only 14-plus minutes, Shannon Brown and the Phoenix Suns weren't about to give up. Brown scored 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and helped key a late 14-4 run as Phoenix rallied past the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-105 Friday night for the third-biggest comeback in franchise history. ''We just have a bunch of guys who don't want...

Cavaliers (2-3) at Suns (2-3) - Game 6

OPENING TIP In Phoenix, everything has changed. Well, not the terrain. Its still always hot there, and they still grow cactuses. As for the basketball team, man, what a fresh start. The Suns now play an everyday style, methodically working the ball for the best open shot. They defend and scrap and possess very little pizzazz. Not that the Steve Nash teams were a bunch of running...

Shannon Brown nails six three-pointers in 4th

Shannon Brown’s name doesn’t ring bells like it did when he was running next to Kobe Bryant, back when his breakaway dunks made him something of a national sensation, at least until he left his faction sorely disappointed with an uninspired performance in the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest.  His recognition has never really recovered from the letdown, but that isn’t to say Shannon...

Suns offense discovers life on Planet Brown

PHOENIX If a recent trend survives, the Phoenix Suns' seasonal battle chant may require a palette revision. While not advocating the complete dismissal of the "All For Orange" marketing pitch, we do feel a need to mix in an "All For Brown" now and then. The Brown currently inspiring this potential amendment is Suns guard Shannon, who for the second game...

Cavs at Suns: Sifting through an epic collapse

The score was 42-16, early second quarter. At that moment, I very well may have been the cockiest Cavaliers fan on the planet. Anderson Varejao was going to the All-Star game, I tweeted. Cleveland was obviously far superior to all things Phoenix, Arizona. The only thing the Suns had going for themselves was how they scripted that reversible logo at half-court. I was looking around...

Phoenix Suns players do parody of Flo Rida's "Whistle" (Video)

Clearly, the folks who come up with the in-arena video entertainment for NBA games are some creative folks.Recently, the Phoenix Suns decided to have some of their players do a parody of Flo Rida's hit song, "Whistle".Clearly, Marcin Gortat steals the show....

Suns stun Cavs, pull off biggest home comeback victory

PHOENIX -- Suns center Marcin Gortat called Friday's first quarter "probably the worst in my basketball career" and none of his Phoenix teammates were helping much. Two hours later, he was celebrating one of his most memorable NBA wins. Less than two minutes into the second quarter, the Suns were down 26 points and the young Cleveland Cavaliers were transforming...

Bobcats’ Games 2-3 of This Year Look Depressingly Like Games 44-66 of Last Year

The only one who could play any defense on Shannon Brown on Wednesday night was Charlotte Observer beat reporter Rick Bonnell.  Bonnell limited the Suns’ Brown to just 4 3-pointers in his write-up of the Bobcats’ loss to Phoenix.  The only problem is that in reality, Brown actually scored six 3-pointers, all of them [...]
