The Windy Apple:
After a month of jet-setting between Brooklyn and Vegas, Taj Gibson is back in Chicago to get ready for the USA Select Team in July. Gibson is still rehabbing his ankle from the playoffs, “I turned it pretty good”, he told ESPN Chicago. Therefore, he’s spent some time in the training room with D.Rose this month who Gibson says “is doing great…and improving quicker than people have expected him to improve”. It’s another positive statement made about the 2011 MVP who has yet to open up publicly since his injury. ”He seems great…he’s the same old Derrick, not a step behind,” said Gibson of Rose’s demeanor. Gibson added he believes his teammate will be back stronger than ever and hopes to use their captain’s pain as the team’s gain while he recovers, telling Bulls.com:
“He’s been pushing it and I saw him push through a lot of pain early. He’s in there every day and he’s pushing it to the limits every time. I look forward to seeing our team take that energy and use it as a positive. Because every day, he’s yelling and he’s screaming from putting in so much effort trying to get his knee back. We need to see how much pain he’s going through and feed off it.”
While we await the day for Derrick Rose to break his silence, it’s reassuring to hear that he is making great strides in his rehab from his peers and family.
BEST OF MAXIM
Taj Gibson had a stellar year and an even better post-season. He only continues to get better – even to the point where I’d say 98% of Bulls fans believe he should be starting in place of Carlos Boozer (am I right?!). But that’s a whole different article. Being selected to the USA Select Team to train with the men’s Olympic team further proves his rank in the league...

When he’s not busy stylin’ on the golf course, Chicago Bulls big man Joakim Noah enjoys spending time in his offseason entertaining his Twitter followers with his Joakim Noah-ness. Case in point: the above photo, which Noah tweeted on Wednesday. The pic was presented without explanation or any context, simply with a tweet that read, [...]

The Chicago Bulls held a workout Monday with a large group of potential 29th picks. With the Berto Center filled with over 10 prospects, one consensus rang true when speaking with the media after: the Bulls are looking to add depth to their backcourt. The practice was cut short when Syracuse center, Fab Melo, became dizzy from what he says was “dehydration”. He plans to...
June 9: As rumors swirl about his possible departure, C.J. Watson is clearly ignoring the hype, as he was seen working out at LA’s Impact Basketball Gym wearing a Bulls tee.
Taj Gibson sat down with Bulls.com this week to talk about the hurtful end to the season, the honor to be selected for the USA Select team, and his other summer plans:
The Chicago Bulls season came to and end in the worst way possible for the franchise, as All-Star point guard Derrick Rose tore his ACL in the first game of their opening round series against the Philadelphia 76ers. Without having the former NBA MVP running their offense and after losing center Joakim Noah to injury, the top-seeded Bulls went home for the summer after losing the...
Tonight in Miami, the Celtics come to town and will, one way or another, change everything.Every Game 7 does this, of course, and it's one of the charmingly self-absorbed things about Celtic Fan, in that only his roster is going to be at risk for being broken up at any minute, so you best watch every second of it and just memorize it all because after this moment, there's...
