After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value.
Rajon Rondo: He shot 4-14. All four of those shots were lay ups, making him 0-7 from 3 feet and out. He did have 13 assists and 6 steals. And that alley oop fake to KG/pass to Ray for 3 was sold perfectly.
Paul Pierce: Did Paul Pierce say something about David Stern recently that I missed? He almost fouled out of two straight games now. It's hard to blame the guy for a bad shooting night (4-14) when he can't get into any rhythm.
Ray Allen: 19 points on 9 shots is pretty great, and he was pretty much THE reason the Celtics went on that big run to end the 3rd/start the 4th.
Kevin Garnett: I'll take 16/8 out of him, especially when you look at the defensive job he did on Josh Smith. Of course, Josh helped by not being aggressive at all, but the few times he did attack, KG did a good job of making it difficult.

Forward JJ Hickson gets buyout from Kings, source tells Yahoo!— Marc J. Spears (@SpearsNBAYahoo) March 19, 2012
Hickson and the Celtics have been linked before so don't be surprised if Boston signs him to add some depth to their front court. However, he has missed games with some back spasms with no certain timetable for a return.
Thanks to JayCeltic9 in the shoutbox for the find.
The NBA lockout occasionally leaves its imprint on an otherwise nondescript meeting between two middling Eastern Conference playoff teams, and tonight the lockout gods (or demons, rather) pushed dozens of shots wide right, or left, or short, or long.Even the game’s most exciting highlight, Jeff Teague’s tomahawk dunk on Ray Allen’s dome, resulted in a mistake. He screamed...
