Found April 10, 2013 on Celtics Life:
With Louisville's NCAA Championship this past Monday, Terrence Williams was reminded not only of his past successes, but of the enormous potential he let slip away. One of the most athletic perimeter players in all of college basketball, he took home All-American honors as a Senior and was drafted by the New Jersey Nets with the 11th pick in 2009. After a solid rookie year, Williams began to falter when his tardiness and inconsistency cost him his spot in the rotation. He bounced around from New Jersey to Houston to Sacramento and was finally cut by The Detroit Pistons this summer. With few options remaining, he had to move to China to play for the Guangdong Southern Tigers this fall. Despite his tremendous physical ability and strong basketball instincts, Williams feared he might not ever play in The NBA again. Fortunately, he had overcome far greater adversity before. At only 25 years old, Terrence Williams has been providing for himself for nearly half of his life. He has...

Doc Rivers admits he gets other team's coaches to help him

In a Celtics.com article by Marc D'Amico, Boston's head coach revealed that he frequently asks opposing coaches why they choose to defend his team in certain ways.  Said Rivers: “It’s nice when you play, honestly, a team that’s not in the playoffs and you know the coach, because after the game you can ask what their reasoning is for choosing one or the other. It...

Rajon Rondo: It's Frustrating Not To Be On The Floor

It has been nearly three months since it was announced that Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo had a torn ACL in his right knee and would likely miss the rest of the season. It had already been an up and down season in which the aging veterans on the roster were attempting to make one last run at hanging an 18th banner in the rafters at TD Garden.   Since that fateful...

Kevin Garnett: ‘I can be better, and I will be’

Boston Celtics center Kevin Garnett, disappointed in his last two games since his return from a foot injury that sidelined him for two weeks, says he will get better. Garnett had 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the Celtics’ 101-93 loss to the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night.

Video: Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett talk upcoming playoffs - 4/9

It's easy to for us to forget now, but it did seem like the Celtics and Nets had a little rivalry starting when they met each other earlier in the year. The Celtics haven't played Brooklyn since destroying them 93-76 on Christmas day.

Video: Brandon Bass destroys Brook Lopez

This was just too good to wait until after the game to post. Brandon Bass just demolished Brook Lopez with perhaps his best, most aggressive as a Celtic.  Awesome dunk.

Celtics Locker Room Video: Blow That Rust Off

The Celtics fell to the Brooklyn Nets 101-93, in a game that Kevin Garnett struggled offensivelly, recording only 11 points. He and Doc Rivers agreed that the veteran needs to get back in his groove after missing two weeks due to an injury. Garnett went as far as to guarantee he will get better.  Kevin Garnett   Doc Rivers Paul Pierce preferred to focus on the team's playoff...

Celtics fall to Nets 101-93, but not before Garnett gets a shot in on Kris Humphries

The Celtics lost an ugly game against the Brooklyn Nets 101-93, but before the final buzzer went off, Kevin Garnett took it upon himself to let Kris Humphries know Boston does not care for him much. With just under nine minutes left in the fourth quarter there was a loose ball. Both Garnett and Humphries went for the ball and Humphries clearly had it. Garnett took the opportunity...

Video: Brandon Bass thumps Brook Lopez at the rim

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Boston Celtics 101-93 on Wednesday. The Celtics Brandon Bass took some of the game’s frustration out on the rim and Nets center Brook Lopez. Lopez certainly was not backed down as hard as some people were this season were ( i.e. Jason Terry), but he was backed down all the same. Please click here to read this story. The post Video: Brandon Bass...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Nets 4/10

Tonight's loss to the Nets was a heartbreaker. To me, this loss ruins their chances at getting the six seed. The Hawks, who the Celtics were just 1.5 games behind going into tonight, beat the Sixers this evening to take a 2.5 game lead over Boston for the six seed. So now it appears the C's will be playing the Knicks in this year's first round. That's disappointing...

Kevin Garnett in a walking boot after last night, Danny Ainge says it's for 'precautionary reasons'

Kevin Garnett has already been ruled out of tomorrow night's game with the Heat due to a sore ankle, and after last night's game with the Nets, KG was spotted in a walking boot. With barely a week to go before the playoffs start—that's not good. Today Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge made his weekly appearance on WEEI's "Salk and Holley...

Your Morning Dump..Where The C’s Are Impressed By Shav’s Toughness

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Since Jared Sullinger went down for the season with a back injury, the C’s have struggled to find another “blue collar” guy. Wilcox simply has not had enough time on the floor, and Bass just does not fit that...

Game #78 Recap: Brooklyn Nets Keep Boston Celtics at Bay

BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics saw their five-year run of owning the Atlantic Division come to an end last night (officially) and tonight the Brooklyn Nets took claim to being the second best team in the division.
