Novak had his best NBA season in 2011-12 averaging career highs in minutes per game (18.9), points (8.8) and rebounds (2.0). His 47% from beyond the arc was a key component to an improved Knicks team that desperately needed consistent long-range shooting (they ranked 21st overall in three point percentage among NBA teams even with Novak’s prowess from deep). The 29 year-old Marquette product is limited offensively when not open and set, but he quickly became a Garden favorite with his hustle, team-first attitude and deadly accuracy once provided an open look.
