The Celtics have signed 28-year old PF/C Jamal Sampson. Sampson last played back in 2006-07 with the Denver Nuggets. Sampson has played in 72 games (5 starts) in his first five years in the NBA and he is averaging 8.8 minutes, 2.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. You can’t teach size, so it doesn’t hurt to give Sampson a chance to show what he can do.

I’m not worried about this yet. Green says he’s “all good.” He’s okay enough to participate in portions of the practice. But at what point do these odd medical issues turn troublesome? If he was really “all good,” he’d be participating fully in practice. And I don’t believe for a second that Green declined to ask what was wrong with him, as he claimed earlier...

Kevin Garnett is an awesome quote. We've come to learn that over the course of his Boston career, a tenure that will enter its fifth season this year. Danny Ainge made a valid bid to get David West in a Celtics uniform but West ultimately wanted more money. The Celtics were offering in the neighborhood of $8.4 million per year. My guess is that when a guy like West sees DeAndre Jordan get an offer sheet of $10 million per year, he and his agent had to reconsider what Boston was able to offer.
