The great city of Seattle misses its Supersonics. Seattle, and the state of Washington itself is a great location for basketball. Everyone knows the stereotype that Seattle rains every day non stop. While this is not true, on winter days when the temperature is 40 degrees with hard rain coming down, no one wants to be outside. And if you’re an athlete and you want to be playing a sport, basketball is what you are going to be playing.... Read more

  • It's true that we do miss the Sonics but I'm one of the many people that don't want the NBA to return to seattle since they allowed the Sonics be stolen from us in the first place and I will never support the NBA again for allowing our team to go to Oklahoma. For the record I am a sonics fan and I was even at the very last game played in key arena!!! The NBA never should have let Oklahoma Steal Our Sonics (the chant was Save Our Sonics).. It will never be the Seattle Sonics because they are gone forever!!! It's nice to see the old Sonics like Keven Durrant play in Oklahoma event hough we drafted him and built up the team that is now the Oklahoma Thunder. It was very nice of the new owners to LIE to us saying that he had no intention of taking the Sonics even though his Emails later confirmed that that was his position all along and it was so kind of him to buy out their existing contract with Key Arena but that did absolutely nothing for the fans and all the people that were making a living working at the Key Arena and all the businesses that were shut down from the lost income and revenue from the team leaving. They had a great Arena and fan base that were will to make upgrades and update the Arena for them just not to the extent that they wanted.. They had made outlandish requests because they had no intention of staying in the first place.. One of the conditions of the team being sold to them was to not take the team from Seattle, so they made outrageous requests to "justify" breaking that stipulation. It was ridiculous for them to expect the taxpayers to completely renovate the Key Arena in order for the team to stay and the Oklahoma Thunders owners are crooked lying bastards and the NBA should have never let the Sonics be taken from Seattle, it's not like it was a horrible team in a horrible market that had no support and it's not fair to steal the Sacramento Kings from their fans!!! I will never go to another NBA game in Washington State and reward the NBA with my money for stealing our Sonics in the first place... Not even if they were to have the NBA finals played here. I'm done with the crooked, two faced NBA that should have stopped the theft of our Sonics. They wouldn't support us, so I wont support them and I hope enough people feel the same way to block such a thing from happening.. The Key Arena wasn't good enough to keep the Sonics here but it's good enough to bring the Sacramento kings to Seattle? There were plenty of failing franchises that were failing and didn't have the support the Sonics did when they were stolen from us and the Sonics never should have been taken from Seattle in the first place.. I don't care if we could use the name, it will never be the same team again!!!
