Brandon Roy, who is making a comeback after calling it a career after the 2010-11 season, at out last night's game against the Chicago Bulls.  The Minnesota Timberwolves' guard is battling a sore right knee and could not go last night as the Bulls beat the Wolves 87-80. Roy has battled knee problems his whole career.  He got to the point after the 2010-11 season, that he decided to retire.  However, after rehabbing and spending time thinking about his career, Roy made the decision to return to basketball.  The Wolves signed him, and Roy has performed well since returning. This current injury is not a long-term concern says Kent Youngblood of the Minnesota Star-Tribune.  He says the team has examine Roy and this is just a case of a sore knee.  Of course, Wolves fans can be forgiven if they are worried.  Roy's injuries early in his career likely would not have been classified as "long-term" or "career-threatening."Roy has played in five games this season and is averaging 5.8 points per game and 4.6 assists per game.  Both numbers are drop-offs from his career averages, but that's to be expected from a player who has missed an entire year and is working his way back. Last night, the Wolves went with Chase Budinger in Roy's spot.  They will probably do the same if he has to miss anymore time.  Minnesota next plays against the Dallas Mavericks Monday.
