Turn On The Knicks:
New York Knicks
For most of the night, we didn’t think the New York Knicks would need things like a clutch Jason Kidd three and the need to make late free throws in order to beat the Memphis Grizzlies. The Knicks’ scorching first half made it seem like we’d be watching Chris Copeland dominating garbage time, Steve Novak making meaningless threes while Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith made fun of his championship belt celebrations. Either way you slice it, the Knicks did hold on to beat the Grizzlies and nab their season-high-tying sixth straight win with a 108-101 victory.
The first quarter was a thing of beauty. Before you could blink, Iman Shumpert was aggressive and making things happen, draining jumpers and going to the hole. Smith picked up right where he left off, scoring 11 in the first frame off the bench. And of course there was Anthony, chipping in with 10 of his own (finishing with 22). The Knicks also defended just fine, although it probably didn’t matter much considering they were hitti...
BEST OF MAXIM
So few players get to write their own endings. The greats typically get cut down as father time catches up to them and their bodies break down. Many hang on for too long or get squeezed unceremoniously out of the league. Jason Kidd, one of the great all-time point guards in the NBA's history, signed a three-year deal with the Knicks this summer while on the doorstep of his...
J.R’s Maturation as a Player:
J.R. Smith has always been an interesting but polarizing NBA character. From the Hornets to the Nuggets all the way to China and now apart of the New York Knicks, J.R. has had his great moments and some really head scratching moments. However, the last few weeks and especially during the Knicks current 6 game winning streak, JR has been playing like...
We all remember where we were that day in February, when it was reported that during a conversation in Philly with a female, J.R. Smith cut right to the chase and asked the young lady “if she was trying to get the pipe.” Smith who has had some classic moments during his career, entered became a social media legend that night. Knicks Wall is now honoring that night, by selling...
Remember when a Twitter direct message (DM) leaked with JR Smith asking a girl in Philly if she was “trying to get the pipe?” The genius people at “The Knicks Wall” thought that would be a great slogan for a t-shirt, along with a cartoon version of “Swish” Smith, tattoos included. The shirt is going for $28.99. I hope they plan on giving JR a piece of the cut. What a...
In the history of men, we have you used some terrible pick-up lines to attempt to woo women and recently, New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith attempted to sex up a lady by using the pick-up line, "You Trying To Get The Pipe".Since that memorable line came out, someone decided to make a t-shirt about it and below is an image that might cause a gaffaw or two:(Courtesy of Complex)
J.R. Smith scored 35 points, his second straight 30-point game, and the New York Knicks withstood a furious rally to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 108-101 on Wednesday night.
Carmelo Anthony added 22 points and Iman Shumpert had 16 as the Knicks tied a season high with their sixth straight win.
Smith scored 32 points against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
After trailing by as many...
Despite the thrilling way in which No. 2-seed Ohio State achieved its 78-75 win over No. 10 Iowa State last weekend, Thad Matta yelled at Lenzelle Smith Jr. in the locker room for not being on top of his game. The following weekend, Smith responded with an impressive defensive effort.
Since our last installment of the Knicks bench report, the Knicks have continued their hot streak by winning four straight games, tying their high streak for the year at 6 in a row. The Knicks won back to back games against the Toronto Raptors, while also taking one in Boston and last night against a very solid Memphis Grizzlies team. The Knicks now have an overall record of 44-26...
Syracuse alumni, Carmelo Anthony, had Knicks coach and University of Indiana graduate, Mike Woodson carry an orange around throughout Friday’s shootaround. Melo won a bet between himself and Woodson that his Orangemen would beat Indiana in Thursday night’s Sweet 16 match.

The New York Knicks are known for hosting a number of fashionable men, including JR Smith, Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. However Tyson Chandler is ready to put the world on notice that he too has a bit of GQ style in him as well.
In GQ’s April issue, the NY Knick baller showcases his love for fashion, while dishing on his home life and how to make different textures...
We’re in to March Madness just as much as we’re in to the pro game here at TOK, and with today being the 21st anniversary of Christian Laettner’s buzzer beater, as well as the tip-off of the Sweet 16 round of games, we figured now would be the perfect time to share some college highlights with you. The Knicks have had some serious college talent suit up in the blue and orange...
