5. Bill Bradley (Age 64) : I tried my absolute best to not put ex-NBA stars on my list, but because of his credentials as a Renaissance Man. That's why I gave him the fifth spot on my exclusive list even though he is technically a senior citizen.
After taking the collegiate world by storm as a Princeton student baller and Oxford Rhodes Scholar, Bradley became an NBA All-Star for the New York Knicks, and then a senator in New Jersey. He even was a presidential candidate. A man this talented in life cannot be left off.
4. Roy Jones, Jr. (Age 39): Jones is one of the most marvelously talented boxers and athletes of our time. He was a champion in four weight divisions, including the revered heavyweight division. Most of all, he dazzled us with his amazing foot- and handiwork and flair.
Jones was good enough to be a pro baller with the USBL's Jacksonville Barracudas, and one day, he played in a pro basketball game and defended his title the same night. Unbelievable. I would've ranked him higher if he wasn't 39, one year away from 40.
3. Steve Donahue (Age 46) : I can tell you that the head coach for Cornell has mad game from personal experience. As a JV player and manager, I had a chance to learn the game by playing pickup with one of the biggest basketball junkies in the world. Coach Donahue works on his fitness and game as if he were still a Division III star at Ursinus.
The result of being such a gym rat? A 40-year old who had more game and fitness than his Division I players. A 40-year old who was skooling a Harlem Wizard in a game of one-on-one.
2. John Rogers, Jr. (Age 49) : Ex-Princeton player. Beat Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one. Need I say more? Read about it here.
1. Barack Obama (Age 46) : Potential future President of the United States. Ex-high school baller and current pickup ball manianc. Word has it that Obama's a "wily" lefty, strong to his left and with a sweet jumpshot. Brown University Head Coach "Craig Robinson" calls Obama "hard-nosed and unselfish," and due to his undying love of the game and stature, the future of basketball as a world sport may depend on this man becoming president.
