Two days into practice for the Dallas Mavericks, and they have two injuries.
Starting center Chris Kaman left yesterday’s practice with back issues. He sat out today’s practice but did some light shooting. Meanwhile, forward Brandan Wright strained his quad in Sunday’s practice. According to head coach Rick Carlisle, Wright is day-to-day.
Although neither injury appears to be serious, this could be concerning to the depth of the Mavs’ frontcourt.
Kaman does not have a history of back problems, but has had durability problems in previous years. Wright is coming off of his most productive year in the NBA, his first with Dallas.
