Found March 17, 2013 on Turn On The Knicks:
Tuesday night, Tyson Chandler left the game in the first half during the Knicks’ 117-94 loss to the Denver Nuggets and was diagnosed with a left knee contusion. It kept him out of Thursday night’s 105-90 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers. This incident really makes Knicks fans think. In a little more than a week the Knicks have lost Amar’e Stoudemire for at least six weeks due to knee surgery and Carmelo Anthony also left Tuesday night’s game due to a sore knee that he planned to get drained upon returning to New York yesterday. Tuesday night was the first game back for Anthony after injuring it during the Knicks’ miraculous comeback win against the Cleveland Cavaliers last Monday. Including Shumpert’s late return and Marcus Camby’s and Rasheed Wallace’s foot issues the Knicks have been fairly plagued by injuries this season but the thought of  the Knicks losing Tyson Chandler due to injury is a situation that has flown under the radar. As the reigning Defensive Player of the...

New York Knicks – Get Carmelo On The Block!

The New York Knicks began the 2012-2013 season hitting on all cylinders from an offensive stand point, which proved to be a key contributor to winning 21 of their first 30 games. The Knicks fed off their torrid offensive start on the defensive end as well, showcasing high energy on both sides of the ball that was contagious throughout the entire team. Behind the NBA’s second leading...

Knicks Injuries Piling Up

Knicks fear Kurt Thomas may have a stress fracture which would end his season. He’ll go for an MRI on his right foot when team returns home. — Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) March 18, 2013   If it turns out that KT is done for the year, what are the Knicks options? If I am GM of this injury plagued team, you would have to release KT and look for the next ” big” available. With...

Kenyon Martin hopes Clippers “lose every game”

Ballertainment Kenyon Martin has no love for former team Kenyon Martin and the New York Knicks lost to the Clippers Sunday night, 80-93, in Los Angeles. Obviously it didn’t sit well with him (why would it, though?) and he had some sour grapes for his former team. In reference to the Clippers speedy style of play and how it might translate during the playoffs, he said… “You...

The Assist: Kenyon Martin takes daughter to 50′s themed father-daughter dance

The Knicks are currently in LA to face off against the Clippers on Sunday. The timing was perfect for Kenyon Martin, his ex-wife Heather lives here with their three children. His daughter Cierra had a 50′s themed father-daughter dance so Kenyon dressed up as the Fonz or Danny Zuko (“Happy Days” and “Grease” references) for the occasion. Super cute, I love to see dads and...

Amar’e Stoudemire: A Lost Knicks Tenure

By, Aaron Kopperl – Knickswag Contributor In a manner all too similar to the 2011-2012 season, Amar’e Stoudemire is facing another serious injury that will keep him sidelined until at least the start of the postseason. Apparently, whenever Amar’e feels any “soreness” these days, that’s basically code for “your seasons over, STAT”.  Stoudemire had knee debridement...

Kenyon Martin Doesn’t Think Clippers Are Playoff Material

After losing to the Clippers 93-80 on Sunday, Knicks forward, Kenyon Martin, was unimpressed with Lob City and his former team’s style of play. According to The New York Times: The Clippers had eight dunks against the Knicks. Martin does not see that style of play translating well in the postseason. He remembers how the Clippers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the second...

Knicks/Clippers Hits New Season-Low Overnight on ABC

With the Knicks missing Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, it should be no surprise that Knicks/Clippers got lost in the shuffle on NCAA Selection Sunday. Sunday’s Knicks/Clippers NBA regular season game earned a 2.3 overnight [...]

Injured Knicks Face Clippers

Knicks vs. Clippers: ABC 3:30PM The Knicks come into this afternoons game on a 3 game losing streak without their 3 top players and looking more like a lottery team than a 3 seed and a division leader at 38-25. They face one of the best teams in the league with most likely the best PG in the league in Chris Paul. The Clippers have the deepest bench in the league and a great record...

Before Tip-Off: New York Knicks @ Los Angeles Clippers (3.17.13)

photo via msg.com   WHO: Knicks (38-25) @ Clippers (45-21) WHEN: 330PM/ET, ABC W2W4: At this point, I just want this road trip to end.  I knew it would be a challenging test for the Knicks, but I did not think they’d go winless, losing by 29, 23, and 15 points in their last three games. With the Knicks matched up against the Clippers today, things will only get worse before...

Jason Kidd Gets Pregame Shooting Advice From Clippers Trainer

Prior to playing the Clippers on Sunday, Jason Kidd was 2 of his last 18 from beyond the 3-point line. He made 3 of 5 in the loss, but can thank former shooting coach for the Nets, Bob Thate, who now works for the Clippers for the pregame advice.  As Kidd was swishing threes on ABC, Jeff Van Gundy pointed out  that the Knicks guard got instruction on his shot for 30 minutes prior...

How Long Can the Knicks Maintain 1st Place?

By, Charles R. Trimble III – Knickswag Contributor Sometimes it seems like the Knicks are a cursed franchised. Despite coming close, they have not won a championship in 40-years. Bernard King’s injury, numerous Game 7 heartbreaks, unfortunate suspensions and then to add insult to injury, having to witness former coach Pat Riley build a dynasty in Miami! Then you have the 2012...
