Another week in Celtics nation, another week filled with mediocrity and inconsistency. The players for the most part had their ups and downs and nobody really stood out except our rook. Rondo's suspension will have him settle for another incomplete grade but the Celtics's as a whole did a little better then the week before and showed some improvements. Jared Sullinger A-:  This kid can flat out play and I hope I'm not setting him up for failure by raising him so soon. All the concerns about him coming out, height/athleticism and his back, have been non existent so far and he's produced in the minutes he's been out there. Besides the occasional rookie blunder he's shown flashes of someone that should have been drafted a lot higher and could potentially be a star in the league. He rebounds really well for someone in his circumstance and his offense has been able to translate a lot better than most thought coming into the NBA. Kevin Garnett B+: He's had another string of solid games where he's been able to provide everything from timely offense to critical defensive rotations. The team needs to feed him in the post more though and keep him involved because the offense runs more smoothly when he's facilitating everything that is going on. Paul Pierce  C: The Truth has been struggling and it became most visible in Milwaukee when he struggled to score against Marquis Daniels. He's barely shooting over 40% from the field which is a huge drop off then the improvements he was making in past years. He needs to cut down on the isolations and work his way through the natural flow of the offense so he can get better and easier shots. Jason Terry  B+: The Jet has been able to work through some of the turbulence he was facing and is finding his niche in the offense. He's playing better and hitting the type of shots the Celtics need from him. The miss in Milwaukee shouldn't overbear the improvements he's been making and his contributions the past couple games. Jeff Green  B+: He put together back to back games scoring more than 18 points and seems to have found something in himself to spark more energy. The passion he's playing with is more visible which can be attributed to his success. Like every Celtic though consistency is something usually lost so he needs to keep up the good play and improve his rebounding. Chris Wilcox  D: He's been sick lately, I've been sick of his lack of rebounding for a while. I guess he caught what I had. C+: His scoring has been all over the place and so has his jump-shot. Something that's stayed consistent is his lack for rebounding. The "Muscle" needs to improve his rebounding margins and keep them consistently high or else the team will be hurt with him on the court. His offense will come around he just needs to be more aggressive and attack the rim. Courtney Lee B-: His defense has been rapidly improving and he's spotlighting why the Celtics aggressively tried to get him in the offseason. He needs to continue to be assertive on the offense end and make sure he doesn't shy away from taking his shot. Something people don't know is that the tweet he sent out to the police was actually a real conversation. The martians from Space Jam have stolen his three point shooting which explains why he's been struggling. Leandro Barbosa  C: He too has been quiet lately and hasn't provided the same type of scoring punch we got used too. Guess he's going through one of those "Blur" stages. Jason Collins He's provided exactly what we've signed him for, 6 fouls when he plays and stories about his life growing up in the 60's. In all seriousness he's played solid defense and given the team a body while Wilcox recovers from seeing his rebounding numbers for the first time. [Discuss on CG Forums!
