TEAMS: Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks
One underrated aspect of Danny Ainge’s offseason manna from heaven is that, just like last year, he managed to stock the roster with quality human beings who are likely to form a cohesive locker room and maybe even help several elderly women cross the street. Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger and Chris Wilcox make a second unit that will have considerably more talent than last year’s. But importantly to Ainge, the bench also contains zero knuckleheads.Terry and Lee are known as solid influences on a team. Dirk Nowitzki almost drowned Germany with tears when the Dallas Mavericks let go of Terry — or, at least, that’s how I envision it. The Celtics liked Green enough to treat him as a brother during his recovery from heart surgery, and the same goes for Wilcox. Sullinger seems like a down-to-earth college superstar always prepared with a grin, not to mention an explanation of basketball skills that highlights his knowledge of the game.Moving further down the ben...

Report: Celtics 2nd biggest winner in free agency
According to our most recent poll, 94% of Celtics fans are pleased with the team’s roster acquisitions this off-season. We’re not the only ones. Moke Hamilton of Sheridan Hoops ranks the Celtics the 2nd biggest winner in free agency:

Danny Ainge content, but won’t close the door on more acquisitions
I spent the latter half of yesterday trying to hitch-hike to Danny Ainge’s house so I could hand-deliver a bouquet of roses and kiss him on his pretty little feet. Not really, but you can imagine what it would have been like if I did.Ainge had a creatively awesome offseason, rebuilding Boston’s bench (damn near from scratch, people!) while establishing a youthful identity that’s...
Maybe Danny isn't so bad after all
It's no secret that Danny Ainge is a controversial figure in Boston. The Perk trade had people calling for his head. The constant Rondo trade rumors the last two seasons had people questioning his ability as a general manager. However, I've always thought Danny was a good manager and knew what was best for the Celtics. He has proved it this off-season.
Someone as brash...

What the Hell Happened to...Scott Wedman?
This week in What the Hell Happened To, we remember yet another in an endlessly long line of players in Celtics' history who came to the team after being an All Star elsewhere and fulfilled the dream to win an NBA title. Scott Wedman was acquired by the Celtics in what turned out to be a steal, a trade for first round pick Darren Tillis. He had come to the Celtics as one...

RIP Reggie Lewis 7/27/1993
Once again, we look at this day in Celtics history as a day of sadness and pride. One of the quickest and most herky jerky players in the league. He was supposed to carry the torch after Larry.
