Doris Burke probably didn't expect this kind of answer when she asked Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo a seemingly innocent question during a halftime interview. Burke was curious as to why the Celtics had so much success in transition in the first half of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Heat. The C's took a 61-47 lead to the locker room behind eight points, four rebounds and 10 assists from the Boston point guard. Instead of giving some cliche answer about how the C's were able to get out in transition, Rondo was, well, rather blunt about...

  • Rondo; If you can't take the HEAT then get out of the Fire!
  • apparently he took the FIRE to the Heat bandwagon fan
  • Rondo needs to shut up, the way he whines to the refs everytime he thinks he's been fouled!! He's so annoying!!
  • You mean kind of like James after the game? "I DON'T FOUL OUT." I feel bad for Stern. I am sure he was given quite a talking to by The Queen.
  • Rondo told it "EXACTLY" how it is. The HEAT have been doing nothing but crying like little broads out there on the court....JUST shut up and play the game James & Wade. Now it's all knotted up.
  • I applaud Rondo for having the guts to call out the Heat for who they are, A bunch of whiners & complainers. If the Heat just played basketball instead of whining & complaining after every call, they would have swept the Celtics.
  • Not very Celtic-like. Can bring on poor play and unessary injuries. He is better than this.
  • Pretty funny how on game two the Celtics were crying over the ref's calls.
  • Didnt the heat have 47 free throws that game?
  • apperently your as blind as the refs
  • And until this, I thought that Rondo was the only member of the Celtics that had any class.
  • BigDoggBill,
You sure it isn't Big D--K Bill. Rhondo the
only Celtic with any class. First of all. Rhondo has no
class and if Ray Allen isn't the classiest guy in Basketball
I'd like to know who is.... And I'm a Celtic fan (37 years)
so I think I know what I'm talking about. The Celts will not
win this series because of Rhondo but the Heat will win
because of Rhondo... Figure it out if you can...
Rhondo has a ton of talent but know how to play the game.
They talk about his triple doubles. What about his triple
turnovers each and every game? And he's even better at it
when the games on the line. Playoffs so far. Last 2 series.
Celtic's 6-5. Without Rhondo on the court with 2 minutes
or less left in the game. Celtics 8-3 and headed to the next
round. WATCH the games instead of just seeing the game !!!

  • After Wade injured Rondo blatently and obviously intentionally last year and got off scott free. He has no right to complain even if he is being honestly fouled with no attempt to put him out of commission.
  • What is the big surprise,he just repeated what the players say on the court.
  • I LOVE You Rajon Rondo!
  • Yes Buffarilla! I agree 100%! What about what Wade did last year?
  • Its clear that the heat have been getting favorable calls. I'm not a fan of either team but call the game both ways. It almost makes me want to stop watching when refs don't let the players win or lose the game. Control the temperments, but let the players play all out, its the FINALS!!!
  • I thought Rondo's comment was pretty funny but the fact is ALL pro athletes are whiners. There hasn't been one who was guilty of what the refs say they were.
