Rajon Rondo: 16 Points, 11 Assists, 10 Rebounds
(Video courtesy of OfficialCeltics)
Rajon Rondo had 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against the Hawks on Friday night. It was his third consecutive triple-double versus Atlanta. Only one NBA player had three straight triple- doubles against the same team in the 1980s (Magic Johnson did so vs. three teams in that decade, the Nuggets, 76ers and Rockets), as did only one man in the 1990s (Chris Webber vs. the Warriors) and one guy in the 2000s (Jason Kidd vs. the Bobcats). Rondo is now the first player to turn that hat trick in the current decade. Unfortunately the Celtics still couldn't get the win.

I don’t even know why Rajon Rondo would do this. Like, hey, I don’t really have a place to put my mouth guard so let me stick it inside my jersey and let it rub up against my sweaty belly.

“If this is to be our end, I would have us make it SUCH an end as to be worthy of remembrance.”-Lord of the RingsIn the grand scheme of things, it probably doesn’t matter. With the news that Rajon Rondo has a torn ACL, the Celtics’ run as title contenders is effectively over. Even if Boston can rally and claim a low playoff seed, there is little chance that a post-Rondo Celtics...
