You know you got some skills with the basketball when you can fake out trained, professional NBA cameramen sitting on the sidelines. That is exactly what happened during Minnesota's recent game versus the Hornets courtesy of, who else, Ricky Rubio. During the third quarter, New Orleans coughed up the ball and Rubio was on the spot to gather the loose ball. Ricky proceeded to put on a dribbling display good enough to even fake out the sideline cameraman. Check out Rubio doing what he does best in the open court. [follow]

Rubio shows off some incredible ball skills

The Timberwolves crushed the Hornets last night 115-86.  Ricky Rubio stole the show once again with his passing.  This time it was a pass to himself though. A fake behind the back pass to himself to be exact.  Pretty awesome skills this guy has.  Check out the video below. Check out our Home Page for more stories and follow us on Twitter and Facebook

Confidence makes all the difference for Rubio

MINNEAPOLIS The Ricky Rubio caricature is a flawed one. You know what I'm talking about, the smiling cherub perched on the bench, the sighing prince who waxes poetic about his teammates, and basketball, and anything else in his sunny domain. That Ricky Rubio, the one who sometimes feels like he's not quite of this world, too happy, too earnest, incapable of lying or misleading...

Ricky Rubio's 360 fake behind-the-back pass has to be seen to be believed

Minnesota's Ricky Rubio's 360 fake behind-the-back pass confused the cameraman. MIN 115, NOH 86 **Follow us on Twitter. Subscribe, or Return to BobsBlitz.com.Follow us on Twitter. Subscribe... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Wolves' Kirilenko leaves game with quad strain

MINNEAPOLIS Once again, the Timberwolves are left wondering what if. What if Kevin Love's hand hadn't shattered not once, but twice? What if Chase Budinger's knee ligament hadn't sliced itself into pieces? What if Brandon Roy's brittle joints had a season left in them? And now, on a much more micro level than any of those nagging questions, what if Andrei Kirilenko...

Ricky Rubio’s Fake Behind-The-Back Pass Vs. New Orleans Hornets (Video)

Typically the second night of a back-to-back of basketball in the NBA usually dictates a sloppy game, but after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves are bringing the noise against the New Orleans Hornets during their Saturday game.  Included in the game is this terrific move by Ricky Rubio who [...]The post Ricky Rubio’s Fake Behind-The-Back...

Poor rebounding usually leads to a loss

MINNEAPOLIS A few weeks ago, ignorance might have been bliss. A few weeks ago, there was just Lazar Hayward on a 10-day contract, not two downright serviceable players in Mickael Gelabale and Chris Johnson. There was no Nikola Pekovic, no Alexey Shved, and Ricky Rubio was even further from form. Under those circumstances, breaking down losses is best left to coaches, best not poked...

Timberwolves' Brandon Roy "at a crossroads"

Will he or won't he be able to return?  That is the question that everyone asks about Brandon Roy, including himself.  The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is trying to recover from yet another knee surgery, but it will be an uphill battle.  He understands this may be his last shot.  If he can recover and play again, great.  If he can't, he may be done for good.Roy suffered...

Timberwolves 115, Hornets 86

Dante Cunningham scored a season-high 18 points, Nikola Pekovic added 14 and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the New Orleans Hornets 115-86 on Saturday night to stop their six-game losing streak. Cunningham hit all nine of his shots to set a franchise record for most consecutive field goals without a miss. Anthony Davis scored 18 points for the Hornets, who played without Eric...

Hornets lose in Minnesota with Gordon out

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Dante Cunningham scored a season-high 18 points, Nikola Pekovic added 14 and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the New Orleans Hornets 115-86 on Saturday night to stop their six-game losing streak. Cunningham hit all nine of his shots to set a franchise record for most consecutive field goals without a miss. Anthony Davis scored 18 points for the Hornets, who...

Wolves Saturday: Shooting slump continues

MINNEAPOLIS This one might come as something of a shock: Since 2006-07, the New Orleans Hornets have the third-best record of any opposing team at the Target Center, 8-2. That's worse than just the Lakers (11-1) and Mavericks (10-2), and it's especially interesting considering that the Hornets have had just three winning seasons over that time. The last time New Orleans...

Paul George Channels His Inner Ricky Rubio, Goes Through The Legs For Assist

Paul George of the Indiana Pacers had one of the more cheeky passes this season on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls. Check out the cheeky between-the-legs pass which lead to a fastbreak layup. I am hard pressed to find a better assist this year. [@jeskeets] var conf_58544 = { APIKey: '2_N1YlfjHIEAtyRAK3CAYRE5a1aBuANuMOCLc_7hsOQ13HnwCrW_u-6OuDhjC7vR06 ', ...

Timberwolves reverse scoring trend in rout of Hornets

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves proved with Saturday's 115-86 runaway victory over New Orleans that the best thing about the NBA -- other than all that fame and fortune, of course -- is there's indeed always another game ahead in which to redeem yourself. One night after nearly getting lapped by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first half, the Wolves doubled up the...

Wolves Tuesday: Kirelinko questionable

MINNEAPOLIS After straining his right quad at the end of the second quarter of Monday's loss to Portland, Timberwolves small forward Andrei Kirilenko is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs. If he were to miss the game, it would be just his fifth missed game this season; he sat for four in late November and early December with back spasms. In other Kirilenko...
