Charlotte ObserverPower forward Boris Diaw and the Charlotte Bobcats have agreed on a buyout of his remaining contract that should be completed in time for Diaw to be eligible for another team’s playoff roster.
Diaw played only twice in his last eight games with the Bobcats and has had a strained relationship with coach Paul Silas, who was quite critical of his effort.

It’s About Darn Time Diaw was Done in Charlotte
When I read the news that the Charlotte Bobcats had bought out the contract of Boris Diaw I couldn’t help but think that it was about darn time. All season long we’ve been reading about a guy that plays hard when he wants to; he slacks off; he’s talented; he can’t focus. Aargh! It was [...]
Report: Spurs front runners for Diaw
We told you earlier today that Boris Diaw had been bought out and would become a free agent if he clears waivers. If what Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting is correct (it almost always is), the Spurs are pursuing Diaw and are in the lead for his services.
"The San Antonio Spurs have emerged as frontrunners to sign forward Boris Diaw should he clear waivers, league...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Boris Diaw's days in Charlotte are finally over.

Next crappy big man to consider: Boris Diaw
So Charlotte bought out Bo Diaw, and like every other rejected big man, the Celtics are going to  have to consider him.
The one thing we have to keep in mind with all of these shlubs is that its much like rummaging through a junk yard to fix your old beat up clunker. Â You are just looking for a part that is good enough to get a few more miles out of that junker until you can...
Boris Diaw Leads Flawed Field of Big Man Options for Celtics
Somewhere along the way, the Celtics' search for a backup big man got mislabeled. What should have been affectionately known as "The Search for a Warm Body Taller Than 6-Foot-6" came to be known as "The Quest for Frontcourt Help." The second one sounded so much more illustrious and game-changing. It brought to mind an image of P.J. Brown riding in on a white...

Boris Diaw receives buyout, Boston Celtics might be interested
I remember my first introduction to Mr. Diaw, back when the Atlanta Hawks had no idea how to use the 6-foot-8 youngster with plenty of skill but no outline of a position. He stunk in those days, a gangly youth, but even then, a startling basketball IQ existed underneath his long, awkward-looking frame. Two seasons after Diaw was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 21st pick...
NBA waiver wire now features Boris Diaw after Bobcats buyout

The Bobcats and Diaw agree in principle on contract buyout it was reported by Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, ending a run filled  lately with stints on the inactive list and constant friction with head coach Paul Silas.
The buyout -- which in the end saves Charlotte a portion of Diaw’s...

Diaw gets bought out, now a free agent
We've known all season long that the San Antonio Spurs are a little thin up front. Earlier this week we looked at a couple of available bigs who are close to not being available anymore. Yesterday, reports emerged that forward J.J. Hickson was on the verge of signing with the Golden State Warriors and today Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Heat are finalizing...
