WASHINGTON -- It took longer than expected, but John Wall is back. Just in case not everybody on the court was already aware of this, the electric point guard excitedly let them know. Wall scored 14 points in his season debut, Bradley Beal and A.J. Price each had 16 points and the Washington Wizards won consecutive games for the first time this season with a 93-83 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night at the Verizon Center. The No. 1 overall selection in the 2010 NBA Draft, Wall missed the opening 33 games with a left knee injury. The point guard entered the game late in the first quarter, played 21 minutes including the final six as the Wizards (6-28) pulled away for their first win in four games over the Hawks this season. In that stretch, Wall repeatedly said on the court, to either friend or foe "I'm back." "That's what I was saying the whole time," Wall explained after his first game since April 26. "To anybody. I was just happy ...

Was it so long ago that John Wall was to be the new face of Reebok? And now, less than three years after signing with Reebok, the Washington Wizards guard has jumped ship...to Adidas. The two parties signed a multi-year partnership deal for an undisclosed amount at the end of last week,
"I've enjoyed my time with Reebok and I'm grateful for everything we accomplished...
OVER THE WALL
Last time we’ve seen one player leap frog another was the infamous dunk by LeBron James last season. However, here we have Ish Smith, of the Orlando Magic, jumped completely over John Wall, of the Washington Wizards, Monday night. Not only did he jump over John Wall, but he recovered and blocked Wall’s shot. H/T [...]The post Ish Smith Jumps Over John Wall, Blocks (Video) appeared...
I can confidently say that this is the first Ish Smith post that we've attempted on That NBA Lottery Pick and he had to do something pretty impressive to earn it.Earlier tonight, the Orlando Magic guard was playing some solid defense on Wizards guard John Wall.As he went up to attempt a block, Ish cleared Wall and leapt over him:
Washington Wizards guard John Wall is scheduled to make his season debut on Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers, multiple media outlets reported Friday. Wall, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, has not played at all this season as he recovers from a knee injury. His minutes will be restricted on Saturday and in his first several games back as he gets into game...
Wizards 93, Hawks 83 [Saturday]
***JOHN WALL BACK! In something of a surprise return (a surprise to me, at least — I had no idea he was about to come back), Wall helped his Wizards achieve their first win streak (two games) of the season with a 21-minute, 14-point contribution (5-11, 4 AST/3 TO) off the bench. It was a feel-good game for the Wizards in more ways than one, as...
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Another brick
Washington is trying to shut the naysayers up.
The Wizards have the worst record in the league. They have pundits claiming they have no one to build around. They have an apathetic fan base that has not experienced much in the way of winning for easily the last...

This one was locked up pretty early for me. In John Wall’s return, Martell Webster was the Wizards MVP (see what I did there?). He started off the game with a quick six points as he and Nene scored the Wizards first 12 points. Webster’s...

After getting a much-needed boost by rallying to end a lengthy skid, the Atlanta Hawks would appear to have a chance to keep their momentum going when they face the NBA-worst Washington Wizards.
The Wizards, though, have been competitive in all three games with the Hawks this season and are expected to have star point guard John Wall available for the first time in 2012-13 during...
