image from: celticslife.com The Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics executed a 3-team trade on Wednesday. The trade is as follows: The Warriors send point guard Toney Douglas to the Heat; the Heat send center Joel Anthony, a 1st round pick they got from the 76ers, and a 2nd round draft pick to the Celtics; and the Celtics send shooting guards MarShon Brooks and Jordan Crawford to the Warriors. This move is especially interesting for both the Heat and the Warriors. For the Heat, the departure of Joel Anthony has to make some wonder whether or not this means Greg Oden will be playing more or if the Heat will now go after Andrew Bynum. As for the Warriors, they have been in need of more scoring off of the bench, and both Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks should help the Warriors out in that department. Crawford has been averaging 13.7 points per game in a Celtics uniform and Brooks was one of the nation’s most talented scorers when he was playing collegiately at Providence. Having this extra firepower off the bench could prove to be huge for the Warriors when the postseason begins. —Ben Parker: follow me on twitter @nba_lord

On a day when many NBA players became eligible to be traded, four were involved between two top contenders--one in the East and one in the West--and a rebuilding team on a long losing streak. If you're not loving yesterday's trade, I don't blame you

I'm not wild about Danny Ainge's latest deal, and it has nothing to do with losing Jordan Crawford or MarShon Brooks.  Neither one of them was going to be a part of the Celtics long term plan.  And for those who might argue otherwise, I promise you this -- Crawford and Brooks weren't going to make a difference when it comes to hoisting banner #18.What bothers me is...

Tommy Heinsohn may have officially lost his mind during last night's broadcast

As far as biased homer announcers go, we all know Tommy Heinsohn can be one of the homer-iest.  His frequent rants regarding the officials allegedly screwing over Boston are well documented.  In Tommy's mind there's a good chance Larry Bird went his entire career without ever committing a foul.Another of Tommy's lovable characteristics is his desire to see the potential...
