The Denver Nuggets leaned on the oldest and most experienced player in Friday night's 99-94 over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Andre Miller, who turns 37 in March, scored 18 points in the second half, including four key free throws in the final seconds of the game.
"He is amazing with some of the stuff he does and how he gets it done," Nuggets coach George Karl said. "We don't win this game without Andre Miller, without a question. It was a slow-down, drag, pull teeth, punch, grab, hold, kind of an old-school basketball game. I think it is a really classy win for us. It is a tough-minded win against a team that I think is going to be very, very successful this year."
Andre Iguodala led the Nuggets with 20 points while Danilo Gallinari scored 14 points and provided the highlight of the night with the alley-oop to himself shown above.
The Nuggets (12-12) go back on the road to face the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

Never seen this before in the NBA. Always just thought it was something people did in dunk contests. Check out the video below of Danilo Gallinari throwing a self alley-oop off the backboard last night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Honestly didn't think Gallinari had anything like that in him. Usually I hate on Euro basketballers (mainly for their bad hair cuts...
The Denver Nuggets Are Lacking Fundamental Basketball
The Denver Nuggets — even if you don’t want to admit it — were a team that were puffed up to be something grand this 2012-2013 NBA season. Unfortunately, due to several factors, they haven’t even came close to matching critics’ and fans’ expectations of them with 25% of the season already in the books. Green Target: Timofey Mozgov
Back in June 2011, Celtics Life started a segment called "Green Target," where we discussed players the Celtics could target. We have't done one in a while, but with today being a key date in the NBA trading season (1st day guys signed/traded in the offseason can be dealt), figured we'd kick things off again. Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears mentioned Mozgov as a...
Clutch Free-Throws Seal A Win For Denver Nuggets Over Memphis Grizzlies
What has been my biggest grip this season — or any season for that matter — when it comes to the Denver Nuggets? Free-throws. Fre- throws. Free-throws.
