Earlier this week, ESPN Boston's Peter May wrote a column about things he will miss because of the NBA lockout. Note the mention of Blake Griffin: I will miss seeing Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, together maybe for the last time. I know we've been writing this for a couple years, but THIS COULD REALLY BE THEIR LAST YEAR TOGETHER! HONEST! Garnett and Allen are in the final years of their respective contracts and the mileage is showing on KG. He was an on-again, mostly off-again presence in the playoffs last season. (For example: Game 3 against Miami: 28 points on 13-of-20 shooting and 18 rebounds. Games 1, 2, 4 and 5 against Miami: 11 ppg, 8.75 rpg and 18-of-52 shooting, including 1-of-10 in Game 4.) Allen, by contrast, seems to improve with age and is, as we all know, a fitness zealot. But at some point, you have to let their big numbers off the payroll and move forward. Maybe they'd come back for less. But it's time to look forward to ......

Blake Griffin: Office Dunking Machine

Blake Griffin is back in part 3 of Panini America’s “The New Guy” skit. Blake is known for his awesome dunking ability. The dude is a beast on the basketball court and he is now taking his talents into the office environment. In this clip, Blake throws down some nasty dunks throughout the Panini’s office. Griffin is quite the comedian and is really making the most of his...

Paul Pierce Leading Union Decertification Charge

via Marc Stein twitter I'm not 100% sure if this is a good thing or not, but hopefully the threat of decertification will lead to the owners upping their offer tomorrow. From what I've been led to believe if the players decertify from the union, things then get messy and there won't be any quick resolution (thus no basketball any time soon). Again hopefully simply the...

Over/Under on Celtics Playoff Hopes

Kind of an older article by Chris Forsberg and ESPN Boston, but still interesting. May not be the best time to bet on the NBA or take part in betting online, but if you did you could still consider the Boston Celtics as contenders. Either way it’s good to check out the Sports Bet Listing. Here is the rest of the article from ESPN Boston: Our team played a little over/under with...

Ray Allen: Calls not just about decertifying

NEW YORK - On the eve of a critical labor meeting between the union and NBA owners, Ray Allen downplayed the significance...
YEP, THE LOCKOUT IS STILL ON

Paul Pierce perfects his bowling technique

With NBA lockout talks getting more and more frustrating by the day, Paul Pierce prefers to take some time to relax and work on his bowling technique from the comfort of his own home. Check out the video below to see if Pierce can bowl a strike with just one roll.

Ray Allen says decertification call was 'purely informative'

Paul Pierce leads NBA lockout decertification push

It’s November, the month the NBA season normally begins, so it’s naturally time for Paul Pierce and Derek Fisher compete. Normally, Pierce would be scoring buckets and Fisher would be annoyingly chasing Ray Allen around screens. But this is the NBA lockout, so Fisher is attempting to lead the players association in negotiations with the owners while Pierce, unhappy with the...

Paul Pierce Drives to Rim and Dunks Over Two Raptors Players (Video)

Editor's note: The 2011-12 NBA season was supposed to tip off Nov. 1. With no games to watch, NESN.com will help fill the void by posting a dunk video every day until the lockout ends. With just over four minutes left in a game against the Raptors last January, Paul Pierce decided to take matters into his own hands in order to close out the game. Pierce drove to his left and...

Pierce, Wade, Allen, Howard Participated In Decertification Call

Paul Pierce was reportedly the most vocal 'star' player on the call.

Video: Blake Griffin – The Takeover

On the day after what would have been the Clippers’ home opener against the Grizzlies, mixmaker Maxamilllion dropped potentially the greatest Blake Griffin highlight tape yet. Maxa’s only regret? “Not fitting ALL of his plays into this mix.” But these five minutes of expertly spliced tape had us feeling like we were back in the stands again. Our only regret? Still no stands...

Pierce, Wade, Howard among players in decertification talks

Decertification of the union has been something some agents have pushed for from the start, and it appears that those same agents had a heavy hand in this week’s players decertification talks behind the players’ backs. Names have started to leak out of who was on the call from several sources. Paul Pierce and Dwyane…

Players Did Not Demand 52 Percent During De-Certification Calls

Paul Pierce is up in arms about the concessions the players have already made.

Cavaliers At Celtics: Game Recap (I'm Going Through Withdrawl)

After last season's heart wrenching defeat to The Heat it's was exciting to get out to Boston and see the squad go at it again. As much as I wanted him gone, It was wierd not...

The NBA lockout in a dangerous place

The NBA lockout is in a dangerous place, approaching the edge of a cliff on a dark road with no headlights. Hardline owners are huffing and puffing and saying they’re going to blow the entire house down. The players union is looking into whether decertification is a legitimate option. Billy Hunter and Derek Fisher may or may not have trust issues. David Stern may or may not control...

Saturday’s owners/players meeting going to be large group

This could be really good or really bad. Every time a large group of owners and players have gotten together during the NBA labor talks things have gone about as well as the last Hindenburg voyage. It’s always Kevin Garnett or Paul Allen or something that messes it up. That said, eventually a large group…
