He’s too nice to say it in these words, but this was Green’s ****-you dunk, a giant middle finger extended in the direction of everyone who has called him out for his lethargic play at times this season. Everyone that is, including Green himself.
“It felt great,” he said. “I mean, I have been playing a little lackadaisical as far as the effort before the prior few games or so. It boosted your confidence up and it gets you going a little bit, so it felt good to get that to go down.”
That dunk was all kinds of spectacular. You could see it develop as soon as he caught it.
On the catch…. Millsap’s momentum was going the wrong way.
After one dribble… so much space
After the steps… he isn’t.
Holy ******* he did.
What ensued was an explosion of emotion from everyone that tells you so much about who Jeff Green is and what the Celtics want him to be. Specifically KG.
“I can’t tell you (what he said). Use your imagination,” Green said. “Just say, it was explicit. He said it

It may be too much to call Jeff Green's dunk over Al Jefferson the "Dunk Heard 'Round the World", but the way Celtics fans have been pining for a Green breakout this season it may as well have been. Taking a KG kickout with a little over seven minutes left in the game, Green faked out Paul Millsap in the corner then drove hard into the lane where he laid the monster...
Jefferson tried to get out of the way towards the end, but it was just too late at that point. I don’t see why Jeff Green got a technical foul on that play, I didn’t see any taunting that was out of the ordinary.Green missed all of last year with serious medical issues, but has done a good job coming off the bench this year for the Celtics.
Jeff Green is back this season after missing all of last year with a heart condition. This wasn't a bad way to get his name back out there. Green had a huge slam dunk over Al Jefferson in the fourth quarter of the Celtics win over the Jazz tonight that turned a few eyes. Check out the dunk below and hopefully Mr. Green will have more to come.

BOSTON — Anyone who claims that a dunk is only worth two points has never been in the building when a player delivered a true facial to a helpless defender.
Jeff Green produced just such a highlight-reel dunk on Wednesday, when the reserve forward bulled into the lane, elevated over Al Jefferson and slammed the ball home over the reeling Utah Jazz center. The TD Garden crowd erupted...
A great win for the Celtics. Obviously, Jazz fans weren't very pleased. Mostly their hate was directed at their own players - specifically one Mo Williams. Williams started going into hero mode at the end of the game, only problem is he's not LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. Or like, Paul Pierce even. That plan didn't turn out so well for Utah.

He got to the line more than anyone besides Paul Pierce...
What a game. So much to discuss…
The Celtics beat the Jazz, 98-93, thanks to a mammoth effort from their bench. Led by Jeff Green (16 points) and Leandro Barbosa (16 points), the Celtics second unit pumped out 47 points.
The highlight of the night was Green’s monster dunk in the face of Al Jefferson. Go ahead and watch the video, repeatedly. The mild mannered Green was also T’d...

They call him "Big Al" but on this particular play during last night's Celtics-Jazz game, Al Jefferson was reduced to "Little Al" by Jeff Green.
Let's set it up...

Kevin Garnett said Celtics Jeff Green needed to find his inner a$$hole and get mean. Wednesday night Jeff showed he has a little mean in him. Check out his dunk on Utah Jazz’s Al Jefferson. Look, that was SEXY!! Oh, Jeff had a comment about the dunk on Twitter. Don’t worry Jeff, you’re [...]

Even though he is still expected to be several weeks away from returning, Avery Bradley continues to work on his outside shooting game before the Celtics take on the Jazz.
