bulls 87 wizards 7712/30/2012 - United Center, Chicago, ILESPN BoxscoreNBA.com Game Highlights   The WE for tonight was Emeka Okafor hands down.  He finished with 11 points and 18, count 'em, EIGHTEEN rebounds. He did his best impression of Dennis Rodman in the rebound department and also hit some rare jumpers, making it seem as if he's been hitting them all year.  Hopefully he's been working on it.  It was refreshing to see him match up well against the likes of Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. Nene: Nene started the game but had a so so performance.  He finished with 10 points on 4-11 shooting along with nine boards. He was pretty solid on the defensive side but played only 25 minutes, sharing them with Nene, who remains on a minute limit. I have no doubt in my mind that he would have been a bigger influence to this team if he played more minutes.  Joakim Noah: Joakim Noah, ironically enough, had similar stats to Nene with nine points and 11 rebounds but the only difference is he played 37 minutes.  I think he is a great hustle player but he can’t hang with the likes of Nene.  Noah is the leader of that team with Rose still recovering from his knee injury.  He’s done a great job so far.   The Good The Wizards are fighting every chance they get. There was plenty of chances for them to lose grip of the game and possibly get blown out. Against the Bulls, that was not the case as the Wiz Kids played hard yet again. Heart is what Martell Webster talked about in training camp and that’s exactly what they show. With Jordan Crawford sitting out with a sprained ankle, the talent was obviously lacking. Randy Wittman said after the game “they fought hard….again one of those keep working, on our perimeter shooting, stepping up, making shots.”The BadAgain, another loss in the loss column, an the overall record now stands 4-24. There is nothing good about that. I guess I’ll go back to NBAdraft.net and check out who’s coming out next year. You know that awkward moment when you check next year’s draft picks and dream about who would fit this team......before all star weekend of the current season. The UglyRandy Wittman post game, “they are a good defensive team, they make things tough sometimes.”  The Wizards scored only 13 points in the second quarter and 14 points in the fourth. Randy wasn’t lying. That was either really good defense or the Wizards just couldn’t hit the rim with a beach ball. I can’t even state how bad the shooting percentage was. Just horrendous. The only stat we as fans need to worry about is 4-24. Again, they are short handed so you can’t expect much. Their team leader in John Wall still isn’t back and Jordan Crawford, the best scorer on this team was not playing. Oh by the way, the Wizards fell to 1-13 on the road.
