Check out the old uniform and the guy in the Utah  uniform who is now in a Brooklyn uniform. It was that long ago. In a move that could be interpreted as shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic, the Washington Wizards cut backup PG Jannero Pargo and signed backup PG Shaun Livingston, who was recently released by the Houston Rockets.  I'm in favor of this move because I never wanted Pargo on the roster in the first place -- I would have kept Shelvin Mack instead -- and I think a healthy Shaun Livingston does have some value for an NBA team, particularly one as desperate as Washington is right now. Livingston is barely above a replacement player level, but that's considerably better than Pargo, who was mind-boggling awful during his brief-but-not-brief-enough stint with the Wizards. Because he doesn't distribute the ball or penetrate the way you'd like a point guard to do, Pargo is only useful if he's hitting outside shots, which he was  not doing. [Pargo ...

Does John Wall have the ability to turn the Wizards season around?

GIF by Truth About It   I remember the feeling the day of the lottery, it was May 18th 2010 and the Washington Wizards won one of the biggest prizes in sports, the #1 pick in the NBA lottery. I sat in my chair with an enormous smile on my face; it was a no-brainer the Wizards were going to get John Wall. The Wizards were going to begin the process of being relevant again. The media...

The winless Washington Wizards have waived Jannero Pargo and signed free-agent guard Shaun Livingston, bringing back a player they hope can help fill the void until John Wall returns from injury. The Changes that Need to be Made to Randy Wittman’s Questionable Rotations:

Now that our beloved Washington Wizards have started 0-7 my frustrations, along with every other Wizards fan, are getting close to the tipping point. Randy Wittman can’t seem to put a solid and consistent rotation on the floor on a nightly basis, so I’m going to lay one out for him that would be much more beneficial to this team and to us die-hards who have been pulling our hair...

Pargo Bricks His Way Out of DC as Wizards Bring Back Shaun Livingston

It seems the endless tweets, posts and wishes of increased stability at the point guard position finally funneled into the Wizards front office. Free agent Shaun Livingston can now put a halt to the unemployment checks and begin his hunt for real estate in the DC metro area as the Washington Wizards have announced their acquisition of the oft-traveling veteran. It’s fair to...

Wizards-Bobcats halftime show featured a guy breaking a bamboo stick with his crotch

Taint power! This past Tuesday the woeful Washington Wizards lost at home to the Charlotte Bobcats 92-76, and as poor as the outcome was on the game side of things, it paled in comparison to the halftime entertainment, which featured some high quality martial arts demonstrations, including one guy breaking a bamboo stick with his all-powerful crotch. Little known fact—this is how...

The Wizards vs. Bobcats Game Had the Best Halftime Show Ever

Check out the halftime entertainment during the Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Bobcats game this past week.  Never seen anything like it.  How is breaking a bamboo stick over your genitals entertainment?  Can't explain it, but it damn sure makes me laugh every time I watch it.  I guess the real question we should be asking these guys is how they heck do you even think about...

Attention World: Wizards are still awful

The Washington Wizards began last season 0-8, a start to the season that eventually got Flip Saunders fired from the head coaching job. Assistant Randy Wittman took over and got a new contract after the team finished strong last year. [Strong by their standards, anyway.] Now, the Wizards are just one more loss from repeating that feat, as they fell to 0-7 last night after a 107-101...
