Eastern-conference
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Rivers is most concerned with the minutes of the Big Four - Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen (ankle) who returned to the lineup after nearly a month off.Rondo (45.6), Pierce (44.2) and Garnett (40.4) are all averaging more than 40 minutes per game, something that you rarely see after this many playoff games. And Ray Allen, in his first game in nearly a month, returned to play 37 minutes.  Rivers acknowledges that he's not thrilled with the idea that his core guys are logging so many minutes. All are certainly worth being concerned about, but Garnett's playing time is most disturbing.  CSNNE - Rivers concers C's playing too many minutes Not much you can do about minutes at this point. Without every minute of those minutes, the Celtics don't lead the series 2-1.  T...

Metta World Peace Talks About Elbowing James Harden, Pulling Down Paul Pierce's Shorts on 'Conan' (Video)

GreenLights: Celtics vs Hawks (Game 4 2012 ECQF)

In a pivotal Game 4, the Celtics looked to defend their home court and did they ever.  The C's looked locked in on defense and loaded up on offense right from the opening tap.  Save for extended fourth quarter garbage time, the Celtics issued a wire-to-wire beating of the Atlanta Hawks to take a 3-1 series lead.  Paul Pierce torched the Hawks from the outside and Rajon Rondo...

Ray Allen Showing No Signs Of Rust With Strong First Half Against Hawks

Ray Allen quickly put to rest any doubts about his ability to be effective. Despite missing over three weeks with a right ankle injury, Allen entered at the 4:40 mark in the first quarter against Atlanta and quickly got to work, making two jump shots in the opening period. Prior to the game, Doc Rivers noted that Friday night's game would Allen's first time playing full court...

Recap: Celtics crush the Hawks spirit

Now that was fun. The Celtics demolished the Hawks for 48 minutes tonight and took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. I don't know where to begin. The Celtics dominated from the start. The lead was 13 after one, 23 at the half and 37 in the 3rd quarter. They dominated every phase of the game. Rajon Rondo (20 points, 8-11 FG, 16 assists, 3 steals, 1 TO) and Paul Pierce...

Monday Afternoon Links, Featuring Kevin Garnett

The Basketball Jones: Kevin Garnett, without cursing, compares playing for the Celtics to baking a cake.  I bet Kevin bakes with a frightening intensity, and I feel bad for any family member daring enough to say “I’m full” when offered a portion of one of his fine desserts. Pro Basketball Talk: You’ll be happy to know that Lamar Odom won’t get any of the two-hundred-some...

Josh Smith...

Veteran Celtics have found a winning formula

BOSTON Celtics forward Kevin Garnett likes to think building a championship basketball team is kind of like baking a cake. First you take your ingredients your well-known standbys, as well as a few bold new flavors and you mix them together. What you initially get doesn't look like much, and it isn't something that's ready to serve, but if you sneak a taste and you...

Avery Bradley, Josh Smith in; Ray Allen back for second straight game

BOSTON — For the second straight game, all 15 Boston Celtics are available. We’re just going to see how it feels and [...]

I must warn you, it is written from a Celtics fan by a Celtics fan. The Post: Celtics beat down Hawks 101-79 (live blog) This was the best I've seen the Celtics shoot...
