Forward Bill Walker is the latest correspondent for HoopsHype, and he shares his experience in the first of his free agent blog posts:
This is Bill Walker, formerly of the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks. I’m a free agent now and will blog about my experiences this summer here at HoopsHype. Hope you find it interesting.
Recently I met with people from the Memphis Grizzlies in...
I guess the league viewed the incident as a "push" and not a "choke." Because of KG's history, I was fully prepared for a suspension.
Don't underestimate the possibility of David Stern wanting Garnett on the court in Miami.
What's a little choke among friends?
Walker and KG may have forgiven one another for the skirmish, but the league may not be so kind. We're still awaiting word of possible disciplinary action.
The kerfuffle at the end of the Celtics-Knicks game on Sunday was just the same old, same old for Celtics fans who are used to the occasional incident involving Kevin Garnett. The Knicks and Bill Walker, who was shoved in the neck after Garnett's last-second jumper bounced off the rim, weren't as content to shrug it off. Walker, who came out to challenge Garnett's shot...
This will probably cost both guys some money, but I don't think there'll be a suspension.
(A) KG's got to keep a cooler head. I know he's pissed he just missed a game-tying jumper... but you can't risk a suspension... especially with Pierce being hurt.
(B) Look at Bill Walker's little ***** move. He puts his hands up and backs away until someone...
Kevin Garnett is one of the NBA's fiercest competitors, which sometimes results in him exchanging words with opposing players. Things got a bit more heated than usual at the conclusion of Sunday's season opener, though. Garnett was unable to sink the final shot, which allowed the Knicks to hold on for a 106-104 victory in what was a very intense, back-and-forth battle at...
Christmas Day is suppose to bring love, sharing, and gift giving to your fellow man. After the N.Y. Knicks win over the Boston Celtics Sunday afternoon, Celtics star Kevin Garnett and N.Y. Knicks star Bill Walker wanted to bring to Madison Square Garden the gift of FIGHTING.As the two teams were "trying" to exit off the court when Garnett shoved Walker. In the replays...
Oh KG. Expect a one game suspension. Credit to Baron Davis for playing peacemaker. Not sure what he said, but it was probably something along the lines of "Come on KG. It's Christmas man. Chill." Garnett HATES to lose. I don't think anyone could ever make him less competitive.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO BRAWL
The Big Ticket missed the last shot that would have tied the game, and took out his frustrations on the Knicks' Bill Walker before the two had to be separated.
