Cleanthony Early To Undergo Knee Surgery

Cleanthony Early will have arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose fragment from his right knee. The injury was diagnosed following an MRI exam. Early will be reevaluated in one month to determine the timetable for his return to the New York Knicks' lineup.

NEW YORK -- Knicks rookie forward Cleanthony Early will miss at least a month because of knee surgery. The team said Tuesday that an MRI revealed loose fragments in his right knee, and he'll need an arthroscopic procedure this week. He'll be reevaluated in a month to determine when he can return. The second-round draft pick out of Wichita State was averaging 2.7 points in 7.7 minutes.
