DERON WILLIAMS RUMORS

Nets Not Interested In Using Stretch Provision On Deron Williams

The Brooklyn Nets are not interested in a buyout agreement with Deron Williams. The Nets could save millions of dollars via the stretch provision, but the franchise is not interested in paying Williams his remaining $43 million not to play. Williams has not been as productive as the Nets were expecting when they re-signed him on a max contract in 2013.

Brooklyn Nets: Is Deron Williams back?

In possibly the biggest game of the series so far for the Brooklyn Nets, the big three shined the brightest. Already down 2-1 and a chance of being down 3-1 heading back to Atlanta, Brooklyn needed big games out of their stars to keep hope in this series alive. And no player shined brighter than starting point guard Deron Williams. Deron Williams has been under a lot of scrutiny...

Watch: Deron Williams nails miracle three as shot clock expires

Late in the fourth quarter, with his team down two points Deron Williams hit the biggest shot of the game. He was double-teamed but kept his dribble alive, turned and threw up what looked to be a prayer and he hit nothing but the bottom of the net. After shooting like a man who had never even seen an NBA game in the first three games of the series, Williams came alive in game four...

Brooklyn Nets: Brook Lopez finding his groove

Brook Lopez The Brooklyn Nets are currently in the middle of a late season playoff push. The Nets are now 32-40 and tied with Boston for the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference. NBA Executive: Deron Williams Not Even the Best Point Guard on the Nets

Deron Williams is the NBA’s eighth highest-paid player, and the league’s second highest-paid point guard behind Chris Paul. Unfortunately for the Brooklyn Nets, his production has declined steadily since signing his monster contract, and he’s no longer considered among the elite point guards in the league. Just how far has Williams fallen? According to an anonymous poll conducted...

Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams engage in war of words

It is no secret Deron Williams of the Brooklyn Nets has not been all that great in the past few seasons. He was consistently one of the few best point guards in the NBA throughout his time in Utah, and after a decent start with New Jersey/Brooklyn, injuries have claimed a lot of his productivity. So it is imperative that the 2014-15 season is a good one for Deron, who has to prove...

Should the Nets Trade Deron Williams?

Deron Williams, the guy the Nets inked to a max contract just two years ago, was a complete disaster in the 2013-2014 season. His per game averages took major dips, and the guy who was once thought to be the best point guard in the NBA was nowhere to be seen. His fan-base has dwindled as a lot of people have lost all faith in him as a franchise player. Things couldn't possibly be...
