The Sacramento Kings are making significant roster moves, but I’m not sure even they know what impact the moves will have.
The Kings have been cleaning house, allegedly to stock pile cap space. Sacremento will now see if Rudy Gay can compliment and play well along side DeMarcus Cousins, and Derrick Williams.
Sacramento is not done reshaping the roster, and Marc Stein is reporting...
The Sacramento Kings are trying to trade Jason Thompson.
With the Kings recently acquiring Rudy Gay and Derrick Williams, there will be fewer minutes available for Thompson.
Thompson received a five-year, $30 million contract extension under the previous regime of the Kings.
DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson put the perfect capper on a celebratory opening to a new era of basketball in Sacramento.
Cousins had 30 points and 14 rebounds and Thompson scored the game-winner on a putback in the final minute to give Sacramento fans plenty more to cheer about than just having a team as the Kings won their season-opener 90-88 over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday...

The Sacramento Kings have extended a qualifying offer to Jason Thompson to make the forward a restricted free agent.
Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie officially announced the long-expected move Monday. The tender allows Sacramento to match any offer Thompson receives when free agency begins July 1.

Jason Thompson has played his way into becoming someone the Kings are hoping to keep.
