KEITH BOGANS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Keith Bogans Did not Deserve a Flagrant Foul for his Hit on Leandro Barbosa

Last night’s Celtics/Nets game got a little testy late in the second quarter, when Boston’s Leandro Barbosa appeared to have an easy look at a basket in transition before being grabbed by Brooklyn’s Keith Bogans from behind.  The play appeared to be an obvious candidate for a flagrant foul call, which turned out to actually [...]

Keith Bogans clothelines Leandro Barbosa, flagrant foul reversed?

Honestly, if this kind of thing was always OK in the NBA, I'd be perfectly fine with that. After all, I was OK with Rondo's half-hearted clothesline of Wade (the above is obviously worse and way more obvous). However, Rondo's was called a flagrant, the above was reversed. It's that inconsistency that bugs the hell out of me. The Nets game was reffed inconsistently...

HE HELD HIM UP THOUGH

Keith Bogans' hard foul on Leandro Barbosa

The screencaps on this Keith Bogans foul look worse than the GIF. Look, if Bogans snaps Leandro Barbosa’s neck, then we might be talking flagrant. He’s only holding Leandro’s neck to prevent him from crashing to the floor. That’s just tough Brooklyn Nets playoff basketball right there – in November. Nets shooting guard Keith Bogans underwent an MRI exam on his left foot, and the results drove the situation from bad to worse. The Chicago Bulls waive Keith Bogans

The Bulls have waived 31-year old shooting guard Keith Bogans.  Bogans played in 82 games (all starts) for the Bulls last year and he averaged 17.8 minutes, 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.  He also shot 38% from three point range last year and the Bulls may miss that out of the starting unit.  Bogans has now played in 586 games (308 starts) in his NBA career...

Two Halves Don’t Make a Whole

It has been well documented over the past year that Keith Bogans, while a stud on defense, is a hindrance on the offensive side, with the exception of the occasional three-pointer.  Anytime the Bulls have the ball it’s like they are playing 4v5 because Bogans is nonexistent when it comes to shooting the rock.  Averaging [...]
