RANDY WITTMAN RUMORS

Wizards Looking To Trade One Of Three Draft Picks

The Washington Wizards hold three selections in the upcoming NBA draft – the No. 3 pick overall and two picks in the second round. Ernie Grunfeld and Randy Wittman have indicated they would like to explore dealing at least one pick, maybe both in the second round, in a package for a veteran. The Wizards plan to bring in mostly second-round prospects for individual workouts starting Monday.

The Ultimate Randy Wittman Face

Last night, the Wizards blew an 11-point halftime lead to the lowly Raptors and were eliminated from playoff contention for the fifth straight year. Also, Randy Wittman made this face (via @wzzntzz): After the game was over, but the face was presumably still being made, Wittman had this to say: “We did not come out with any focus. That is where this group has to, on the road,...

- Randy Wittman: "There's Things For All Of Us to Show Down the Stretch"

Randy Wittman tells us that the Wizards have and will continue to play hard, not just while they vaguely remain in playoff contention, but more importantly, for the future. The Wizards managed to outlast a depleted, yet feisty Chicago Bulls team last night at the Verizon Center thanks to a "gutty" defensive performance late in the game. Yes, the Bulls did everything...

Wizards coach Randy Wittman rips reporter who compares team to circus

With a record of 26-44 and only 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Washington Wizards have secured themselves a sub-.500 record for the sixth straight season. There has been some improvement since the team’s last playoff appearance in 2008, but the Wizards drafted John Wall with the first overall pick in 2010 and have yet to take the next step. That doesn’t mean you...

Wizards Coach Randy Wittman Claims He Would Call NBA Waiver Wire, If He Had a Cell Phone

Things have gotten really bad for the Washington Wizards. At 0-9, they are the NBA’s only winless team and — not surprisingly — are in the bottom five of almost every category in the league, including attendance. They may have hit a new low Monday, when the banged-up and listless Pacers came to town and handed the Wizards a 96-89 defeat. Aftward, Wizards coach Randy Wittman...

The Changes that Need to be Made to Randy Wittman’s Questionable Rotations:

Now that our beloved Washington Wizards have started 0-7 my frustrations, along with every other Wizards fan, are getting close to the tipping point. Randy Wittman can’t seem to put a solid and consistent rotation on the floor on a nightly basis, so I’m going to lay one out for him that would be much more beneficial to this team and to us die-hards who have been pulling our hair...

DREAM MACHINE

Wizards forward slept in his car

What does an NBA player do when he gets off a plane and realizes he left his keys in another city? If you're Martell Webster, you take refuge in your vehicle.

Wittman to return as Wizards coach

Randy Wittman will return as the coach of the Washington Wizards. The team announced Monday that Wittman will keep the job he accepted after Flip Saunders was fired early in the season. Wittman had previously been an assistant on Saunders' staff. The Wizards went 18-31 under Wittman to finish with a 20-46 record, second worst in the NBA. But they played better late in the season...
