Sam Cassell Jr. has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at the University of Maryland, coach Mark Turgeon said Monday.
Cassell is the son of former NBA guard Sam Cassell, who is now an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards.
Cassell played this season at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass.
He chose Maryland over the University of South Florida, Villanova and Florida...
