The Oakland Raiders look to have made the most of their mid-late round picks in the 2012 NFL Draft.
After capping off day two of the draft with the first compensation pick (95th overall) in the third round with offensive tackle Tony Bergstrom out of Utah, the Raiders picked up San Diego State linebacker with the 129th overall selection.
Equipped with enough athleticism to provide solid pass protection and decent overall strength, Tony Bergstrom explodes off the line as a run blocker. Expect him to operate at either right tackle or kick inside to guard for the Raiders.
Miles Burris, one of the more gifted linebackers in this 2011 draft class, led his team with 80 total tackles with 9.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 2010 and was on the first team All-Mountain West Conference last season. He has a non-stop motor and is a talented overall athlete as well. (Check out these highlights on Burris.)
The Silver and Black moved back to get another later pick and picked up Penn State defe...

The Oakland Raiders announced Saturday that for a limited time they would donate 10 percent of the proceeds from every season ticket to Oakland public schools. The program, which applies to new season tickets, will make the donation from gross-ticket price purchases made in full from Tuesday through June 30. "We are thrilled to announce our newest youth and community based...
Matt Leinart is a free agent after spending last year with the Texans, and a report says he's expected to sign after taking his next visit.
Going into the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders had depth needs at every position except for Tight End and Cornerback. They were set-up to go with the BPA (Best Player Available) on their draft board, and they went with Tony Bergstrom a Guard/Tackle from Utah. The Raiders have a solid [...]
3rd Round 95th Overall: Tony Bergstrom, G/T, Utah The Raiders have a solid O-Line, but Cooper Carlisle is aging and will need to be replaced somewhat soon. Bergstrom can come in and immediately compete with Carlisle for the Left Guard job, and he can compete with Barksdale at Right Tackle. Bergstrom is versatile O-Lineman that [...]
The Oakland Raiders have selected defensive lineman Chris Bilukidi with their sixth-round pick of the NFL draft.
The Raiders took Bilukidi 189th overall with their fourth pick of the day Saturday.
Bilukidi is the son of an Angolan diplomat and was mostly a basketball player until his final year of high school in Canada. He started his college career at Eastern Arizona and finished...
Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Matt Leinart will visit the Oakland Raiders and is likely to sign with them next week.
Leinart, who was cut by the Houston Texans, will likely backup Carson Palmer. Oakland needs a backup as Jason Campbell signed with the Bears and Kyle Boller was not retained. The Raiders still have Terrelle Pryor who may be used as a game changer to threaten...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Oakland Raiders are expected to sign quarterback Matt Leinart to back up Carson Palmer. Terrelle Pryor will then be their third quarterback going into 2012.
Leinart fractured his collarbone in 2011 when he came in to play in place of Matt Schaub who suffered a season ending foot injury.
The idea of community involvement and the Oakland Raiders usually ends at the organization looking for money from taxpayers to build them a new stadium. Which is why the announcement that the Raiders are donating money to Oakland public schools is somewhat surprising, but yet incredibly awesome. The new initiative will donate 10% of new [...]
According to various reports along with Adam Schefter on Twitter this morning, free agent QB Matt Leinart is expected to sign with the Oakland Raiders later this week. It is being reported that Leinart has a visit scheduled with the Raider this week and the team is fully expected to ink a deal with the southpaw quarterback.
The signing of Leinart would reunite his with a fellow USC...
The Oakland Raiders were heading into the 2012 NFL Draft just very few picks until they were awarded several compensatory picks for players they lost in free agency. Under former owner/general manager Al Davis, the Raiders had basically sacrificed the 2012 NFL draft while undertaking trades for players such as QB Carson Palmer and the selection of QB Terrelle Pryor in the 2011 Supplemental...
