Right off the bat let me say there is no rightful No. 1 pick in this year's crop. None of the top five honestly are deserving of the top pick, and those following are even worse to select lower off the boards. The Chiefs own the top pick and could go one of many directions due to the lack of pure talent in this draft class.The Chiefs could assume Joeckel will hold his own and immediately become their Joe Thomas, but in all fairness he's a project pick, yes with the top overall pick. They could go after Jarvis Jones, who owned most offensive fronts he played in college, but he has never seen an offensive line at this level, and there is still doubts surrounding his back.Never before have I seen a potential list of top 5 picks that could all be bust picks. Heck, toss Geno Smith back into the fold, it still doesn't resolve the issue. Once the Chiefs take their gamble pick the Jaguars follow in stride, hoping to pick a star at No. 2 and not overpay for a bust pick.Now, if there is one player amongst the rest deserving to go No. 1 overall it's Eric Fisher. He's a beast and has plenty of upside AGAINST the next level. Now find me another player you could place at No. 1 with the same confidence? Even so, Fisher, by many, is rated the 2nd lineman off the boards. The remaining mix is like a bad batch of gumbo, bad enough that of the record 73 underclassmen that declared, none of them may go in the top ten.Face the facts, this Draft is a mess. Anyone could argue who deserves to be the top pick, but for once in a good long debate it's not a unanimous selection. I would be hard pressed not to trade out of the top 5 if I owned any of those picks. There's developmental talent later in the Draft worth the extra picks, but using a top 5 pick is risky business in this Draft.The only sure-handed pick is Eric Fisher, he's the second rated lineman...that should tell you all you need to know about this weak draft class.
