I love the San Francisco 49ers, but please, please, pretty please with sugar on top, can we make the preseason two games? Look, I get peoples excitement about it, they’re excited that football is back and they love just seeing their team go out there and play. I get that, and thats great, but honestly, I’d rather watch reruns of the first season of Seinfeld, and the first season...
The San Francisco 49ers are back and ready to get the taste of the Super Bowl out of their mouth. The Niners took on the Denver Broncos yesterday at Candlestick Park. This game was expected to be an exciting Preseason game with possibly the two best teams in the NFL squaring off, but it was anything but. Peyton Manning and Colin Kaepernick played one series each and then came...
The Denver Broncos beat the San Francisco 49ers 10-6 on the strength of Shaun Phillips’ fumble return for touchdown. In their inagaural preseason game, both quarterbacks only played one series each and the game was all about strong defense and at times, inept offense. The 49ers committed four turnovers while the Broncos only managed 220 total yards of offense. Granted it’s...

The San Francisco 49ers signed Austin Collie to a contract about ten days ago and have used him sparingly so far. Usually using him at the end of practices so he’s barely gotten to work with quarterback Colin Kaepernick. That should change this week with how quickly he’s picking up the playbook and proving that he is indeed healthy.
“I think they will this week, yes,” Harbaugh...
As far as 49ers receiver Kyle Williams is concerned, there's only one way for his team to bid farewell to Candlestick Park this season.
''You've got go out right. You've got to win,'' Williams said Saturday after the team's annual Fan Fest. ''There's been so many great teams - not just good - great teams, dynasties that have been through...
The 49ers on Friday play the Chiefs for their second exhibition game of the season. Any other year, this game doesn’t deserve a second thought. This year is different. There’s a familiar face on that other sideline, leading that offense. An old friend. Of course we’re talking about Alex Smith.
OK, sure, it’s only preseason. Smith will be yanked before Aldon Smith and friends...
