49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks, who helped San Francisco’s defense dominate the Washington Redskins, doesn’t believe Robert Griffin III should be playing. Brooks had two sacks, seven tackles, a pass defensed and two quarterback hits in the 49ers’ 27-6 victory on Monday night. He doesn’t believe RGIII has fully recovered from his knee injury suffered last season and shouldn’t be on the field. “He’s obviously a man and he makes his own decisions, but I personally don’t feel he should be playing right now,” Brooks said, per ESPN.com. “He’s a man, he has the heart of a warrior and is going to go out there and play regardless of the circumstance,” Brooks added. “Everybody can see it. Everybody can see it. He shouldn’t be playing.” Griffin threw for just 127 yards on 17 of 27 passing with one interception and was sacked four times in the loss. Griffin’s interception was his 11th pick this season, and he is still without a rushing touchdown. He threw just five interceptions last season and had seven rushing scores. “It’s frustrating,” Griffin said. “I think we’re all frustrated. Everybody’s tired of losing.” The post 49ers LB: Robert Griffin III ‘shouldn’t be playing’ appeared first on Sports Glory.

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III met the media today, a few days after an embarrassing Monday night loss to the 49ers. As expected, Griffin has been the center of a whirlwind of media coverage, including comments from other players, such as SF LB Ahmad Brooks and Ravens DE Chris Canty, that Griffin should not being playing right now. According to Mike Silver of the NFL Network, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III isn’t happy with head Mike Shanahan since he isn’t will to keep his “bad plays” off the board during team meetings. From @MikeSilver: "RG3 has expressed to teammates his dissatisfaction with Mike Shanahan and this could be coming to a head." — NFL Media PR (@InsideNFLMedia)...
Why couldn’t it be Meg?
RGIII continues to take hits. Unfortunately, the shot he took on Monday Night Football from San Francisco 49er Aldon Smith was a direct hit to his boys. Nothing like the entire country focusing in on the family jewels.
It was bad enough that he got hit, but then he jumped up and down to get them to drop.

According to David Smoak of Waco’s ESPN 1660 AM via the Washington Post, Baylor coaches used to show all of Robert Griffin III’s film during meetings even though report surfaced last week that said otherwise.
Shanahan called the report, “completely false,” when reached on Sunday, and then on Monday, Griffin said the same thing....
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith kicked Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III in the nuts on the tail end of a play.
Robert Griffin III had arguably his worst game as a pro on Monday night. Then again, his entire season hasn’t been anything to write home about. Things have been so bad, in fact, that one 49ers player doesn’t think Griffin should even be playing.
Linebacker Ahmad Brooks, who sacked Griffin twice in the 49ers’ 24-6 win in Washington on Monday, doesn’t seem to believe that...
You can barely say hello to quarterbacks in the NFL these days without getting a penalty. And don’t even think about shaking their hand. However, as you can see in the GIF below, feel free to kick opposing quarterbacks in the nuts. 49ers defensive end Aldon Smith gave Redskins quarterback Bobby Griffin III a swift kick and received a zero-yard penalty.
If Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III have become the future of football suddenly put on hold, consider Kaepernick the one more likely to get going again.
The young, mobile quarterbacks who have struggled in 2013 after breakout years in 2012 faced off for the first time Monday night, and Kaepernick clearly outperformed his counterpart as the San Francisco 49ers broke a two...
If you were paying attention on Thanksgiving, there was a big football story that happened away from the three scheduled NFL contests of the holiday. Reports out of Washington indicate that no Redskins teammates passed RGIII the stuffing at Thanksgiving. What makes it especially interesting is that it happened amid all the chatter that’s been going on about Robert Griffin III and...
As if Monday night in Landover, Maryland could have been worse, the Redskins’ Robert Griffin III took a blow to his manhood quite literally. Just under two minutes into the game, Griffin took the snap and set up to pass as the 49ers’ Aldon Smith rushed and was stood up. In the process of being pushed back by the offensive lineman, up came Smith’s foot right into Griffin’s...
Back in September, during the first week of the season, I wondered if the read option could last in the NFL for an extended period of time. In that piece, I said it was possible that the read option could be like play action, something that offensive coordinators with the appropriate quarterback could always stash in their playbook and whip it out whenever necessary.
Entering Week 12, six teams that won their division last season were in danger of missing the playoffs this year. That includes the two clubs playing Monday night, the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins. The Niners are 6-point Bovada road favorites with live betting available.
The Redskins won their first NFC East title since 1999 last year, while the 49ers not only won...
