For second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick, having an offseason to master the 49ers offense has been a welcomed change. Kaepernick has been throwing with the Niners receivers, including Randy Moss, and is working on getting the ball out quicker, making the right reads and otherwise getting comfortable with what's being asked of him. "I feel like I'm leaps and bounds ahead of where I was last year as far as being comfortable with this offense and being able to go out there and execute," he said. "Everything just comes so much more naturally now." Source: CBSSports Attached Thumbnails

Report: Dashon Goldson looking for a contract similar to Eric Weddle’s

Getty Images San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson still hasn’t shown up for OTA’s since he still hasn’t signed his franchise tender, that would pay him $6.2 million in 2012. According to Matt Maiocco of the CSNBayArea.com, Goldson is looking for a long-term deal that’s similar to what Eric Weddle received from the San Diego Chargers. He signed a five-year, $40 million...

Stop Lying To Me Jim Harbaugh, I’m Not Stupid

Jim Harbaugh came out today and just flat out lied, saying that the 49ers had Alex Smith in their plans all along. He claimed that they were never really trying to replace him with Peyton Manning, just exploring their options. Hm. I can’t say I believe any of that. In fact, I would go so far as to say that I’m 100 percent sure that every bit of what Jim Harbaugh said on this...

Frank Gore ready for some competition this season

Frank Gore is embracing change and competition at age 29. The three-time Pro Bowl running back is taking part in the San Francisco 49ers' offseason workouts, arriving earlier than usual in the Bay Area this spring from his offseason home in Miami. While Gore is determined to do his part to duplicate San Francisco's special comeback season of 2011, he has other motivation...

Jim Harbaugh’s rant of lies

In a recent interview with the 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, Harbaugh had some interesting comments when the subject of the niners’ pursuing former free agent Peyton Manning came up. “It’s an erroneous perception that we were flirting with Peyton Manning,” Harbaugh said. “I keep hearing that over and over again. It’s silly, and it’s untrue. It’s phony. Even the...

Jim Harbaugh’s lie could tarnish his reputation with his players

I’ve heard coaches stretch the truth, avoid questions they don’t want to answer and even “interpret” a question differently in order to give the response they want but it always bothers me when a coach just flat out lies to the media.San Francisco 49ers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh addressed what he called an “erroneous perception that we were flirting with Peyton Manning...

Harbaugh insists Smith was 49ers' man all along

San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh insists the 49ers planned to have Alex Smith as their quarterback even while they examined the possibility of signing then-free agent Peyton Manning. Harbaugh ended his weekly meeting with reporters on Wednesday by addressing what he says is the ''erroneous perception that we were flirting with Peyton Manning.'' Harbaugh called the...

Jim Harbaugh denies pursuing Peyton Manning ‘it’s phony, erroneous’

It’s confirmed: Jim Harbaugh could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Or at least he’d try to if it was in the best interest of his football team. The 49ers coach spoke to the media on Wednesday and attempted to spin the reports that said the team pursued Peyton Manning in March. “There’s a perception out there, and it’s an erroneous perception, that...

Harbaugh says 49ers were not 'pursuing' Peyton Manning

Jim Harbaugh wants to be clear: Despite working out Peyton Manning, the San Francisco 49ers always wanted quarterback Alex Smith. The 49ers head coach veered into an unprovoked discussion about Manning and Smith at the end of his session with reporters Wednesday. "Oh one other thing: There's a perception out there and it's an erroneous perception that we were flirting...

49ers’ Dashon Goldson wants a deal similar to Eric Weddle

The 49ers franchise tagged Dashon Goldson earlier this offseason, but so far he has skipped all of the 49ers’ voluntary OTAs and reports say he has no plans to come to the Bay Area anytime soon, which sounds like a potential holdout. Now reports, according to CSN Bay Area, say exactly how much Goldson is looking for long term. Goldson reportedly is seeking a deal similar to the...

So Jim Harbaugh Is Full Of It

Judging from his recent defensive comments about Cam Newton, Alex Smith has a bit of a thing about feeling unappreciated. It seems to be a prevailing theme for quarterbacks on Harbaugh-coached teams that lose in conference championship games. Lots of specificity there. Anyway, Jim Harbaugh wants everyone to know that Alex was his big champ all along, even though the Niners were...

49ers RB Brandon Jacobs Looking To Slim Down

Brandon Jacobs is a big man, this is the trait that's defined him since he came into the league in 2005, but the new San Francisco 49ers running back is aiming to be not so large by Week 1. Jacobs told reporters on Tuesday his goal this season is to play at his college weight of 255 pounds and he's about 10 pounds away from the number, and he plans to reach the weight with...

Jim Harbaugh is lying…Still, Alex Smith is now better than Peyton Manning
