The 49ers on Tuesday welcomed wide receiver Marlon Moore to the family on a one-year contract. Try to contain your excitement.
Moore, 25, spent the last three seasons in Miami, where he played primarily in coverage units on special teams. The Niners are expected to use him in the same capacity, though the possibility is open that he could be seen returning kicks.
By trade, Moore is a receiver and has 244 yards and two touchdowns in his three-year career. As pointed out by Bay Area Sports Guy, last year against the Rams Moore scored a TD on fellow new 49er Craig Dahl. Now they’re teammates. It’s the circle of life.
(Don’t worry, news on Nnamdi Asomugha should be coming any day now.)
